This is a roll of peel-and-stick self-adhering vinyl. You could cut e.g. a house number or telephone number out of it. Most people use it with a cutting plotter, but it’s not really needed, nor should you feel intimidated by the fancy terms. Anyone with a box cutter could make a good use of it. In the past, I cut it by hand, by superimposing a paper-printed outline, and tracing it with a thin blade over a leftover piece of sheetrock (to save the table surface from cuts). Voila, you just saved yourself the cost of the roll at the local home improvement store, should you buy such numbers. And this roll is so long, that it will allow you to cut numbers for the whole neighborhood. Anyway, I got a cutting plotter years ago, to save time. My blue vinyl run out, so I needed a replacement. The roll came with blade, force, # of passes (2), and speed settings for Silhouette Cameo 4. I have a different plotter, so it’s not useful for me. My plotter is 28” wide, but I was offered this 12” wide roll for “free,” in exchange for my unbiased review, so I grabbed it. It's hard to say what color you would get, as the listing posts no recognizable standard, e.g. its RAL number. I don’t have a color reader, and I displaced my color charts, so I cannot help you here. My iPhone app says R7 G90 B147, close to RAL 5005, but its a reflective vinyl, so it’s not a reliable way to read. A 12” wide roll means I would be limited to approx. 9” wide strip (due to the width taken by rollers on each side), and need to cut everything along the roll, which is the less precise direction of movement. I haven’t installed it physically yet, so I cannot comment on its performance. I am posting a photo pending further developments. Once installed and used, I would post updates. ... show more

Loffa (Gold) - Overall: I would purchase this again based on the below experience and I love this color. Cutting Image on my Cricut - Great - No issues. Worked Great. Roll looked good out of the box was easy to remove the packaging and tape that held roll together. The image cut beautifully on the cricut. Removing Image (weeding) and Placing it on Product - Great - Weeding the vinyl was relatively easy, but time consuming since the image was so detailed. (see picture to see what image was used). Adhesion - Great - I had no issues with this vinyl and adhesion. This was the very first vinyl image I ever transferred to a product. Therefore, I made a beginner mistake and allowed the transfer tape to touch one section of the image too early. This resulted in me tearing the vinyl in one tiny spot when I removed the transfer tape. In addition, I do see a few tiny air bubbles. However, again that was user error and not a reflection of the vinyl. Once done properly, using transfer tape to place the image on the base was eary. Vinyl had great adhesion. As far as longevity of the adhesion, I can't judge longevity, because I just did them recently so not enough time has passed to rate the longevity of the adhesion. Durability - Great - While burnishing the vinyl down to the base, I saw no wear and tear of the vinyl. No color was removed. Vinyl didn't stretch or break. As far as durability after washing and/or after outdoor exposure I can't speak to that as not enough time has transpired to adequately judge that. Loffa Color Gold...I love this. It is not a metalic gold. It is not a shiny gold. It is a beautiful matte golden brown color. It isn't a yellow gold that you would think of with jewelry or gold bars. It is more the gold color you think of when someone says antique gold. It is defintely a brown/khaki kind of gold, defintely not yellow gold. ... show more

This gold vinyl is really pretty, and I was happy with how much comes on the one roll. I used this on a mat with the Cricut Maker 3; the directions show you can load it directly into the machine but it didn't fit mine. I was trying to make a decal for a mug, but I quickly found that this vinyl is sort of difficult to work with; especially when making intricate patterns. My first two attempts were completely unusable, so I re-worked the pattern and sized it up a bit, but even the third attempt didn't quite work. The fourth attempt was okay, but despite using transfer tape, the adhesion kept sticking the vinyl to itself within the cuts and kept it from being pulled out of the design, so weeding was a bit of a nightmare. Despite that all, I was able to get a pretty passable mug finished, but it took me much longer than expected. I think this vinyl works better for larger images/cuts(like the sword), so stick to that if you can, because smaller things (like the runes) tend not to come away from the rest of the vinyl. ... show more
