If you're like me and go through reviews I have added a few tips on how to work with these a little easier! I've had several people say "how did you make the walls like this? It looks real"! My home was built in 1926 and has just a few minor issues...to include old walls that have previously been painted a dozen times (I may be exaggerating some...but there's multiple layers), wallpapersd, textured and patched. But as long as your walls are STRUCTURLY sound...this product works very well! 1. Make sure you remove any loose material, patch any major issues and thoroughly clean/dry the walls. 2. Use a measuring tape and LEVEL and chalk line (or use a pencil etc) to mark out your first row. I started at the bottom because I'm adding trim after I install my new ceilings. So if there's any gap...it will be at the top and hidden. Use a level with EVERY panel on your first completed row, and every few panels from here on out. If your first row is good...the rest will follow. 3. If you want it to look seamless, cut out every other "brick" on each side with SCISSORS not razor blades. The panels will tear if you don't. And cut them in the MIDDLE of the "grout" part. This helps line everything up. They do have some stretch, and you can overlap them if necessary. Also keep ALL of your scraps to fuill in gaps later if necessary. Put up all the BIG pieces up first, then go back in later to fill in all the odd/small spaces. 4. After you have used the level, on the TOP of the panel, fold the paper down about one inch...LIGHTLY attach the two top corners...use the level to make sure it's straight...and then run your hand across that entire top inch space to make the panel secure. 5. Raise up the panel and slowly start pulling the backing down further (the paper gets stuck sometimes so it helps to have a razor blade or something sharp to pick it off if necessary) and push the panel in. Do NOT take the paper backing off all at once. If you do, you won't have as much control. Smooth it down as the paper comes off...and when the entire panel is stuck...use your hand/finger to go around every brick to make sure it's attached. 6. When you're filling in all the odd/small spaces, use your level again and put them on LIGHTLY at first to make sure they're aligned. Then secure them with more force. 7. Sit back and enjoy your new wall. Lol. ... show more

These faux brick tiles look nice in my basement, but I have to say they were a bit difficult to apply simply because the adhesive is so strong. You have to be careful not to let the adhesive touch itself or anything you don't want it to stick to, because it will not come back off without ripping. Through the application process, I ended up with sticky little balls of adhesive all of my hands, the floor, and my clothes and it was very annoying. ... show more

I hand painted them and they look great. It's a little complicated because you have to cut the half bricks out of the edges in order to piece them together right. They peel up on the edges in some areas but I added added some extra vinyl floor glue behind the edges that peeled up and caulked all of the seems to to seal it all in place. I purchased this product to create an accent well in my basement. The surface was prepared well and cleaned. However the tiles are now coming off the wall a bit only after 1 day. Also, they are slightly transparent. The compound is visible on the sheetrock behind the tiles. It looks okay from a far, but I am very disappointed for the price I paid. ... show more

We used this product to line the basement wall in our home gym. I chose this item specifically because it is flexible and the concrete has some rough areas, and this wall covering molded over the top perfectly. Because the edges are square and we wanted a more authentic look, we cut the edge pieces to present a brick layout. This process was a little tedious, but it came out beautiful and was easy to do. The adhesive didn't stick extremely well to our concrete wall, but I believe that it is because our home is a bit older and had a lot of dust, despite having cleaned it before hand. That said, I think this would work on a regular gyp board / drywall finish. In our case, we added a little extra adhesive in some areas and it works perfectly. Our home gym has a beautiful aesthetic feel now and I couldn't be happier with the product. Our wall has been "refinished" for over 2 months and not a single piece has delaminated. I would highly recommend this product, and if you are covering a wall like ours, would recommend using an additional adhesive. ... show more

I purchased two packs to cover the foundation walls inside the basement of my house. These walls are painted concrete walls like we usually see in the houses from 60s. I liked trees panels for their price and the ease of working. They are easy to cut and align, even though the glue quality is not the best. But the real challenge is that the boxes are a bit unreliable. While the first one worked well and has been as-is for over a week now, the panels from the second pack fell down suddenly overnight. And now they are stuck to each other and cannot be reused. I am now concerned about the quality and realiability. ... show more
