I have been using this product for a year now and tested different flavors. Taste wise I would not say it is the best one out there but it is definitely drinkable and very affordable. My favorite is double rich chocolate flavor.

The first dozen scoops from the top tasted like old protein, and I'm thinking it was due to some sort of storage issue... Think of leaving your protein container out for a few days, and that terrible smell that exists. It wasn't to that extent but you could tell there was a slight smell to it at first. i took a chance on this brand because it was on sale. i have to say the taste is nice and not overwhelming. but the main thing is how well it mixes with water. probably even better than optimum nutrition. i have a near-daily shake consisting of 20oz water, 2 scoops protein powder, 2 scoops costco fiber powder (optifiber). then use hand-mixer with whisk attachment for about 20-30 seconds. very pleased with results. i probably wouldn't rebuy if it's not on sale tho but i'm a very frugal shopper. would easily recommend this if it's in your budget. ... show more

03/10/2023 Today I recieved my 5lb Cookies and Cream. I read a lot of the reviews and wasn't exactly sure about it as many talked about not having the seal of authentification or being half full. After searching around some more and doing some reading, I came to a conclusion and decided to go for the 5lb CC(Cookies & Cream). Mostly so I can have it for more than 2 months and to try it out. THE SEAL Upon removing it from the box, right away I saw it had the seal on the lid. Though, the I couldn't download the app. The app also has like a 2* rating with some saying it doesn't even work. So there's that. FILL LEVEL So on the side it has text stating where the fill line was at the time of production. Some people say that they are getting their product that is only half filled or so. I opened up and peeled and then cut the rest off like the psycho I am. It was full, as the pics show. From what I read and what the side text states, sometimes the product settles, so it'll look like it's less. I did see that it was said to shake up the container before opening or use or something like that. I wondered too about the weight as some stated it was less than the container stated. So I reved up my scale and grabbed a 5lb weight. The weight was to make sure the scale was accurate. After confirming, I hurled the protein onto it and look at that, 5.8lbs. I repeated it a couple times, weight then protein, multiple times to make sure. So, there's that. PROTANE USE I had to dig out my scoopy do. Just something ya gotta do with these sometimes. Got a heaping scoop full and scraped off the top layer with my finger for a nice level serving. Putting it in muh shaky bottle was comical. I held the scoop upside down over the shaker and it slowly slid out and plopped into the shaker. Anyhoo, it shook up well. I couldn't really see it through the bottle but it mixed well and had no clumps and I didn't have to shake it violently while yelling explatives. You know, to help it mix better. CONCLUSION So it came the next day, had the seal, was more filled than I thought it would be, is a bit more than is stated(though I know the container has some weight too. Maybe I'll weigh that when I'm done so I can see if it is 0.8lbs), mixed really well and tastes great. I know some people go on about what's in the powder, but not everything is perfect and a little of something isn't always a bad thing. Either way, I'll probably update on the results I can hopefully get in the coming months. Oh shoot, typing this review I didn't realize that I'm gonna be late for work.... I've been using this product for several years now. I had to make a few adaptations -- for instance, mixing it in 8 oz of water to prevent lumps -- but find it to meet my needs at a lower price than many other brands. The jug contains enough powder to give you 69 single scoop servings with 24g of protein in each. I use 1.5 scoops twice daily (36g protein), so it lasts me just over 3 weeks. Another brand I tried only had 21 double scoop servings at 27g protein, and cost more. If you're on a budget, this is a great deal. ... show more

I read some very negative reviews about the Nitro Whey Vanilla flavor, but decided to give it a try since most reviews were positive. I am very happy with the flavor, it mixes very well with fat free milk, has a very smooth texture, and the flavor is really like Vanilla, with the strange taste some other Vanilla whey proteins have had for me in the past. Also doesn't taste too sweet to me as some reviewers said. I haven't tried with water, but I don't like most proteins with water anyway, I can't imagine this would be any worse than others, and is most likely better tasting instead. I'm not sure if they formulas changed or what else. I bought mine in September 2024. I definitely recommend this one, and got it at a great price. ... show more
