It literally took me 4 hours to install this on the smallest counter in creation. You definitely have to have a "plan of attack." I wasted a good amount because I was being impatient and I didn't plan ahead. My fault, not the product. If you have counters that are oddly shaped or have curves or anything that's not a simple rectangle or square, please plan first or you'll waste product. Make sure your counters are SUPER clean because any little particle will show up as a bubble and trying to pull this up to rectify that will test your mettle. Go slow and use a wallpaper smoothing tool to get it down and Exacto for the edges. You'll thank me later. I sticks REALLY well and while it will come up without residue, it's not easy. But maybe I'm weak... That being said... this stuff is great! Just like the picture, it looks amazing and holds up well to normal everyday wear and tear. Water? No problem. The first day i installed it, I was concerned because some water got on it and I didn't clean it up right away. It's definitely waterproof. Heatproof? Kinda. UNTIL, you put a SUPER hot pot lid down on it. Then, the area where the lid actually touches the surface will melt a little. Not enough to be super noticeable, but if you look hard enough you can see it. Not a deal breaker for me. My husband put a hot stew pot lid down on it and left a ring. I can barely see it, but I know it's there if I look at the right angle. Again, still looks amazing and i can't see it when i just doing my thing in the kitchen. I'm going to purchase again so I have some backup if it really gets messed up. ... show more

I give this 5 stars but a few things to keep in mind before buying. I got this for my kitchen counter, which means a few irregular conditions like corners and back splashes. It was difficult to apply all by myself. I certainly recommend you phone a friend. Also for the counter, this mere 15" width will not cover the entire depth so seams are inevitable. With how much water and other dripping happens on the kitchen counter, I worry that these seams will be the undoing eventually. I'd also watch out for overheating. Put a coaster/blanket on before placing your burning cooking ware on this. ... show more

It took a little work to get a good technique to get the bubbles out but afterwards. I was super happy how this turned out. This definitely adds a good look to temporarily upgrade your space. I'll add a update in a few months to test the durability.
