Great quality nice feel, super happy with these reins. I had several pair of great split reins but needed another set to keep in my trailer.

  • Well Made, Well Oiled.. came ready to work!
Size: 1/2" x 8' Style Name: Split Rein
I took a chance on these split reins, as I have liked Weaver Leather’s products overall, but was iffy on quality for the price point. However, they showed up quickly, and are well made, well oiled, and we’re ready to work. Definitely worth the money on this one!

  • Great reins, but….
Size: 3/4" x 8' Style Name: Split Rein
Weaver doesn’t sell bad products, period. That being said, these reins are probably the thickest I’ve ever had. Cut the thickness by 1/3rd from the flesh side and they’d be perfect. But that’s just my opinion.

  • Good Quality, Good Price
Size: 1/2" x 8' Style Name: Split Rein
I needed split reins for a horse show. I do not usually ride western and if I do, I use roping reins. However, for this show we were required to use split reins. First I needed reins fast. Weaver and Amazon delivered super fast. Next, I didn't want to spend a fortune. Weaver products are very budget friendly. I already had the Weaver Working Cowboy Headstall and was pleased with the feel and quality of it, so I felt safe going with the Working Cowboy reins. I was not disappointed. They are nothing fancy. Just good quality reins. Nice thickness and weight. And yes they do have a keeper. ... show more

  • Love them!
Size: 5/8" x 8' Style Name: Split Rein
I’ve been looking for a pair of these because I use my trainer’s and I love his. Finally found these (in stock) and love them! They’re a bit thicker and need some more use to really break them in but I love them. They’re plenty long- which is what I wanted- but I almost have to trim some off. I’d rather they be too long than too short. They’re a great length for my 16.2hh gelding that likes a tighter rein, but they drag in the snow as they come below his knees. I have yet to use them on my 15h mare in training as she’s still in her first 30 rides and I don’t need to worry about stepping on them. Love them and they withstand the weather super well!! Just need to trim mine a bit- and they’ll be perfect! ... show more

  • Nice quality but I struggled
Size: 5/8" x 8' Style Name: Split Rein
I really wanted to love these. Very nice leather but I just couldn’t get used to them- they are SOOO thick!!! I also have small hands so that could be a factor. Loved the keeper that came with them. If I tied them in a knot, it wld be a battle club. I just find them hard to use due to the thickness. Maybe I’ll try them again when my horse gets his neck reining down better. ... show more
