  • Best investment
Capacity: 2TB
Works great. Stored over 30 games and combined with my other storage device my console has 3 times more storage. Easy to set up and all my games were transferred in less than 15 mins.

  • Amazing and worth the penny
Capacity: 1TB
The Xbox Storage Expansion Card is an excellent accessory for Xbox Series X and S owners who need more storage without sacrificing performance. Performance This card delivers exceptional speed, matching the internal SSD’s performance. Games load quickly and run smoothly, ensuring a seamless gaming experience. Installation Setup is a breeze—simply plug it into the dedicated slot, and the console recognizes it instantly. It’s incredibly user-friendly, making it accessible for gamers of all experience levels. Design Its compact design makes it easy to carry, ideal for gamers who travel or switch between consoles frequently. Price The main drawback is the price. While the performance justifies the cost, it may be considered high compared to traditional external drives. Compatibility Keep in mind that this card is specifically designed for Xbox, so it won’t work with other systems. Conclusion Overall, the Xbox Storage Expansion Card is a great investment for serious gamers looking to expand their storage efficiently. If speed and ease of use are your priorities, this card is definitely worth the purchase. ... show more

  • Saved the price of a new xbox
Capacity: 1TB
Didn't want to buy a new Xbox but there wasn't enough storage to save many games. This wonderful expansion gave me lots of space & I love not having to load and transfer back & forth like I had to do with the external hard drive I was using. I got the storage I needed for a fraction of the cost of a new xbox. Easy to set up and works perfectly with my Xbox series s! ... show more

  • Works for extra space on Xbox
Capacity: 1TB
Bought this for memory expansion for Xbox Series S. Works just like an additional hard drive. Can play games off of this unlike the Seagate USB harddrive. Definitely worth getting if you need extra memory for large games like Call of Duty, which seemingly takes up half of Xbox. Plugs right into the expansion slot in the back. Only sticks out about an inch out the back. ... show more

  • A top name brand.
Capacity: 1TB
WD_Black 1TB C50 Western Digital is top name brand. I expected it to work very well and it does. Installation: Plug this drive into the expansion socket on the back of a series S or Series X console. It will not work on an XboxOne or other older Xbox. Those use USB slots, which are about 20 times slower. I turned off my Xbox S and plugged it in. And turned on my Xbox S. There was a screen that appeared before the Xbox powered up asking me to choose one of two options. 1) use this new drive on multiple consoles. or 2) use this new drive on only the console it is now plugged into. I chose 2). Xbox S then booted up normally, and I selected the installation of MSFS (which takes up a little more than 200 GB). I then clicked on Manage instead of Play. The manage options included things like Copy or Move. I clicked Move. The MSFS game and all its saved data then moved from the internal storage over to this new drive. The speed was 5 GB per second. That is the same as 5 thousand megabytes per second. A lot faster than a USB drive at 200 megabytes per second. 25 times faster more or less. Now my MSFS game plays exactly as it did before at the same fps numbers and so forth. There is no difference how it used to play from the internal storage compared to playing from this drive. Xbox series S and series X external drives work like this: A usb drive will work to store things like songs and videos. And it also works for playing older games designed for an Xbox One or Xbox 360. Those old fashioned USB drives will NOT work for Xbox series X and series S games. But this is not a USB drive. Therefore it DOES work for all games and for anything else, exactly like the original internal storage. These WD drives seem to come in two sizes 500GB and 1000 GB (I TB). I bought a 1 TB drive. It works perfectly, without issues, and the only installation is to just plug it in! Of course you do NOT have to open up the Xbox case. The plug is on the outside, on the back, It is wide. You can't miss it! ... show more

  • GAMES ARE MASSIVE....YOU KNOW YOU NEED MORE STORAGE!
Capacity: 512GB
Modern games are huge! You have a bunch of storage which sounds like a lot when you first get your Xbox. You purchase and download a few of your favorite big name title games and next thing you know you are getting warnings about reaching full capacity for storage. This WD Black storage expansion card is the easiest way to solve this issue. Even if you bought the 1TB version of the Xbox it's just convenient having more room so you don't have to do the install/uninstall juggle to play different games. Especially if you have a few regular games you play that take up space and then you want to have a few other that you are playing in between. This is by Western Digital which is a trusted name in storage. I have had PC hard rives by them last longer than the actual main components of the computer, and I removed them and put them in the next device or converted them to an external hard drive. This is the absolute easiest solution for a lack of storage issue on the Xbox. You just plug it in and your system detects a second drive. It only sticks out a little bit which makes it easy to remove if you need to. It is solid state drive so the transfer speeds are so fast that you can still play games that are installed directly to this expansion drive. You can easily move games and content between this and the internal drive in the Xbox system storage menu. The only downside to this is the price. I think they are slightly expensive for what it is, especially for the large capacity ones. The unfortunate truth though is that solid state hard drives are still a bit pricey so there is not much you can do. You could get some other brand of a hard drive and take chances but since these are designed for the Xbox they just work seamlessly and instantly and make your life easier. ... show more
