  • This thing works!
Size: Complete Kit w/ 10' Cable & Window Entry
We live in the country and do not have access to cable internet. We use T-Mobile Home Internet and "reception" can be sketchy so we decided to get an external antenna and give it a try. We purchased the Waveform QuadMini and it has made for a significant improvement in our internet connectivity and speed. Before the Waveform antenna we had download speeds between 1 and 5 Mbps and upload speeds between .5 and 1 Mbps. With the Waveform antenna download speeds are now as high as 70 Mbps and upload speeds are as high as 12 Mbps. The Waveform customer service was outstanding. They were very responsive to questions we had to help us get the best performance from our internet service. They even checked in with us a couple weeks later to see how things were going. Thank you Waveform! ... show more

  • Amazing product
Size: Complete Kit w/ 10' Cable & Window Entry
I live in a rural area where the only internet is from the cell tower about 1/2 mile away. No cable, no Starlink, etc. Our ATT hot spot gives us from 1-50mbps, with very low signal during peak times. Think lousy TV at dinnertime. We got the TMobil router on the recommendation of our son, a Disney broadcast tech. It feeds a TPLink A55 router, set to Smart Select, which broadcasts the strongest of the 2.5 or 5 GHz signals. The antenna is mounted on an inside window and hard wired to the router. Without the antenna, the TV, about 70' away, picks up only the 2.4GHz signal at 15-20mbps. 4K is not supported and we only get 1080 video. With the antenna, the TV always gets the 5GHz channel from the router, usually at 50-70mbps. Wow what a difference in the video! The antenna also picks up the 5G (fifth generation) signal from the tower. Also gb updates to our apple phones and computers take minutes, rather than hours. Tech support by Mohammed at Waveform, who make the antenna, has been spectacular and consistent. Need I say more! ... show more

  • Brought genuine 10x performance increase
I bought the waveform quad mini for use on a spectrum cellular to WiFi modem. I installed this indoors on a windowledge - right up against the exterior window glass. Within minutes of registering my device with the manufacturer, I received a text from them with a web link that gave me a map of spectrum cellular towers near my address and recommended which side of the house to point the antenna. I was not going to hassle with exterior installation so I mounted it in a window pointed in the direction of a nearby cell tower using the map the manufacturer provided me. To be clear, I did not see any increase in “signal strength “ as indicated by the number of bars on the SPECTRUM modem. But signal strength is complicated and performance is impacted by signal strength within frequency bands and interference. I did Speedtest the system multiple times before and after installation and measured a consistent 10x increase in performance. I also experienced this in practical use- able to support consistent media streaming with the antenna while without the antenna the system was not useable for media streaming. ... show more

  • Worked good for a week then it caused havoc with my connectivity
Size: Complete Kit w/ 10' Cable & Window Entry
I saw my download speeds double and my upload speeds increase 4X. After 8 days it caused my T-Mobile modem to reboot in 2-3 minute intervals. Unable to troubleshoot, replaced the modem and sim card, and the problem persisted. Moved the antenna to a shaded window incase overheating was the problem, but same issue with much slower speeds. I live in Arizona and it has been +/-110°F. I couldn't find any info regarding operating temperatures, but this is designed to be placed outdoors.... I'm at a loss and frustrated! I need steady internet and unfortunately my only other option is Centurylink 20mbps in this apartment complex for $100/mo. I really hoped this had lived up to the hype. ... show more

  • Works good, but expensive
Cable internet is pretty terrible where we live, so I was looking for something more reliable. I went with a T-Mobile gateway at my house. I tried different locations in my house for the gateway (with internal antenna) and the best I could get was 116 Mbps download and 2.1 Mbps upload. I was also only getting 2 bars of signal strength. The nearest cell tower is 0.8 miles from my house. I checked what folks were doing to get faster throughput and a lot of people had good luck with this antenna. When I installed this antenna in the same location as my gateway, I was getting slightly better throughput and no signal gain. I tried a variety of locations, but no real gains. Many folks were mounting these antennas on their house or in their attic, but to do that you need an extension cable to get to the gateway (which needs to be indoors). I bought an Outdoor Rated 10' Waveform UltraFlex-Quad Cable, Low-Loss Quad-195 Extension Cable so I could mount this on my roof and cable to my gateway inside. I am now getting above 250 Mbps download and 3.8 Mbps upload and 2 bars signal strength. It's working well now, but I have $262 invested. Cable internet for 250Mbps (when it worked) cost $130 per month and T-Mobile is charging me $50 per month, so I am saving $80 per. So, the antenna and cables should pay for themselves in 3 months. Hopeful I continue to get good throughput with T-Mobile. The antenna and cables are on my roof and fully exposed to the elements. Both are supposed to be rated for outdoor use. The documentation recommends mounting on the said of the house, so my roof location should be similar. We'll see how the antenna and antenna do over time in the elements. Overall, the antenna and cables seem good quality. The antenna comes with a stand mount, suction cup mounts (for window mount), and a pole mount kit. I used the pole mount and a plastic mount for my roof (I did not want to use a metal mount due to possible antenna interference). One quick note, there are rubber boots on each wire. At first I could not figure out what these were for, but once I installed an extension cable I realized that these slide over the cable connectors once you the extension is attached to seal the connection from weather/water. ... show more
