I got these for use in the pool to prevent my daughter (11) from shredding her toes on the pool floor. She wears a women's size 8.5 but with her feet still growing, I got her a size 9 instead. They arrived in a shoe box, look exactly as pictured, and they fit her beautifully. They do have a little bit of room for her to grow into but they are very secure on her foot since the top comes up pretty close to the ankle. They also have a bit of stretch to the top so I'm hoping she gets a few summers out of them before she outgrows them. She reports after use that they are very comfortable to wear both dry and wet - she often wears them to walk the dog in both dry and wet weather and says they have great traction. I have also worn them a few times and, although they're large on me (I wear a size 8) I agree that they feel secure since they come up higher on the foot. The sole feels substantial while still being lightweight and flexible. The stretch in the shoe top makes them super easy to get on and off, even when wet. Overall I'm super impressed by these shoes, especially for the price. I'd definitely recommend them and in fact just purchased a pair for myself in a smaller size. ... show more

The new boat shoe. These form fitting, no more water inside shoe sploshing, high tech, cool colored, great gripping shoes make my old brown leather boat shoes look... well... dated. Don't get me wrong, I love my boat shoes (name starts with dock) and will always have some, But these Water shoes are definitely being added to the stable. To the Point or TL;DR Water just squeezes right out, excellent grip, kids love the colors, incredible feel, like walking barefoot, but not, Speed laces, Need shoe horn with 3 people and a ton of grease to get on foot, Piping should be elastic (it's not). Trust me, it loses a full star because of how much of a pain it is. They change that and it will be an all around winner. We Like The feel, grip, color, usefulness, and its ability to shed water. Use it on the boat, beach, lake, creek, pool, or Just Because (personal favorite). We Don't Like The piping in the opening. It should be made with elastic material instead of the non elastic piping it currently has. It makes it dang difficult to get a foot into the shoe. Frankly, ridiculous. Shirleyly, problematic, Barryly, arduous. I had to stretch it for several minutes before being able to get a foot in it. Hopefully it will continue to relax, but not so much that it then starts to fall off. Who May Use/Like It Those that like watersports or just the feel of the ground underfoot but saw the sign that said "no shirt, no shoes, no service". These can help with the middle one. Me Final Thoughts Wow, these are fun, comfortable shoes, once you get them on. Hopefully, fingers crossed, the manufacturer will change that piping to elastic. Maybe I'll hold my breath. I don't wait for a day at the river, I now wear these around the house, in the yard, any time I want to keep something my feet and the hot driveway or rough gravel but I don't want regular shoes. These are awesome. easy to slip on, snug in the tie and they stay put even when exercising. Obviously water doesn't bother them but they also handle sharp 3/4" gravel without any comfort issue. And for once, these run true to size using the comparison chart when you order them. (My last couple manufacturer's had some pretty interesting ideas what a US Size 10 was, they ran from an inch short to 3 inches too long. These are true to size! Score! ... show more
