Any novice/beginner swimming pool owner should read this book. It gives you a basic understanding of swimming pool chemistry. It is explained in a concise, to the point, and understandable manner. The chemistry discussed in this book is basic that gives you enough understanding to maintain your pool. This is not technical chemistry, by the way. I had hoped that this book would have provided a more technical explanation about pool chemistry. For example, after I add chemicals, what happens to them and why do I need to add more? How does my salt generator create chlorine from salt? Does that chlorine get converted back to salt in some way? Things like that... Instead, this book simply gives rudimentary instructions on pool maintenance. Not a lot of info there, and I really didn't learn anything new. :-( ... show more

i read the book in like 5 minutes very easy and to the point. Simple quick solutions. i wasn't looking for massive information. Just a quick guide. I read reviews and laughed about not enough information etc... I thought the imformation was good and helpful and easy.
