  • This mf'er is stout!
Size: 30 mm
Bought it for primary hunting rifle - 300 RUM. Significant recoil with a large scope. I expect the 4 bolt/block connection and heavy, wide scope connection will handle the load. Will update if it doesn't. Warning: this mount is heavy. Don't buy if you're weak or otherwise care about having a featherweight rifle. ... show more

  • Great mounts, solid construction, good value.
Size: 34mm-MSR Ideal Height
Not sure what that other reviewer was ranting about (maybe he got a fake one) but these mounts are very well machined, everything fits perfectly, real solid clamp onto the rail and the scope (no way this thing is letting go) also you can mount accessories for competition and compared to other mounts these are great value for money. Overall a great mount! ... show more

  • Wide rings
Size: 34 mm
Good Construction, precise and very durable. I think most scopes will be about a quarter inch higher than what you get from the information. My only complaint is how wide the scope rings are. Depending on your scope you're most likely not going to be able to slide your scope all the way back to prevent recoil movement because the rings are so wide they get in the way of making parallax and redical adjustments, also they are so wide that you cannot see your adjustments as easily as you could with slim rings. ... show more

  • This is NOT a "Precision" Scope Mount
Size: 34mm-MSR Ideal Height
Be very forewarned, this is not a "precision" scope mount by any stretch. I purchased, inspected it, and found the following. I wish I took photos, but the descriptions below should cover it: 1) The scope top brackets did not align with the scope base. It's very subtle, but the scope top brackets were both offset, to the same side, by a fraction of an inch. You could feel it. I tried switching both of them, and still offset to the same side. It tells me the tapped threads into the scope base are off to one side and not truly centered. 2) The small taps on the two scope top brackets were all offset, buy a small margin, but it was visible, from the very "groove" they were tapped into. This isn't good. If you try to screw in a measuring device for scope alignment, the tapped holes will not line up with the groove perfectly. The interesting thing was, the tapped holes were offset in the same direction (to the same side) as each other. It's almost as if the machining was misaligned. 3) This is a bummer, but the tapped holes in the top brackets all had metal protruding into where they would touch the scope, along that surface the scope housing would be seated against. It's as if they didn't take the time to clean the "tapped" metal edges that result from a tap when it exits the metal. The interesting thing is, the same tapped holes in the scope base were "smoothed" so they would not press into your scope body as the scope seated against the bottom mount. It tells me, they could have cleaned the jagged edges in the underside of the top mounts up, they just didn't. 4) This did not affect my return at all, and was of really no concern, but to highlight this, the two top brackets did not match the bottom mount in black color, or machined surface. They were slightly off from each other (color and surface texture). To me this is cosmetic, but it does bring concern, if there's this lack of detail, what else is missing (other than the above that I cited). There is NO WAY I would personally recommend Warne to anyone, based on this purchase. To be fair, I really scrutinized this scope mount with the unaided eye (I have solid eye sight) and touch. I didn't use a micrometer, etc. to truly analyze the "precision" of this. Anyhow, massive lesson learned for me. This scope mount was not the most expensive however, it was not the cheapest either. My solid recommendation, steer very far clear of this scope mount. If you do purchase it, I would highly highly scrutinize it, make sure it's "precision" as they advertise. I'm genuinely very concerned they will turn around and try to resell that scope mount, when in actuality it should be studied themselves, optimize their manufacturing processes, and then taken and thrown in the recycle bin. ... show more
