This is an elegant and well made product. Perfect for serving appetizers and what not. However the bowls have these stars… that are just a bit weird. Instead of looking clean an elegant they stand out enough to make the product a little awkward? Like instead of serving appetizers they should be used for selling/displaying quartz or rocks. This is no the purpose of it… Pros: - elegant well made - wooden bottom is sturdy and good looking - bowls are good quality Cons: - stars etched on the bowls are weird… some people might like them, so in only deducting a star. They are physical, which means they are also hard to clean, and you have to be vigilant about cleaning them, especially when they’ve been used for dips like salsa, guacamole or hummus. Overall I’m still giving it 4 stars, but it could’ve been 5 without the stars. ... show more

Love the idea.. as a family who loves fondu of all kinds- from appetizer to dessert, this offers a perf. size for cut up fruits to ready for chocolate sauce, various breads cut up for cheese fondu or.. even just to hold sauce for use with the main course when serving meat! Bowls provide plenty of space for content- and best of all, the wood below allows these to be carried or maneuvered with ease. As for the wooden tray- I don’t have a worry of integrity if overfilling as it’s plenty sturdy to hold with ease.. cutout rings hold bowls nicely in place and tray can even support other size bowls- if the base will fit inside. Dependent on dinner guest #’s, I swap these with a slightly larger option I have.. it’s just that easy. Wood is treated to be easily hand washed- and dried without issue. Makes a great housewarming, wedding or shower gift- even a spoiler for yourself. A bit pricy but, one can get plenty of use- could even serve various treats and snacks on game day! This set is really pretty and practical for filling up with different condiments for a party. The tray holds them in place even when serving from them. This would have been 5 stars except for the price-I want a little more perfection, value for my money and the stars in one of the cups is faded the next is slightly lighter and not filled in all the way the last one is beautiful. This is a nice wooden tray with 3 different-colored small bowls perfect for dips, olives or nuts during a gathering. The glazes on the bowls are nice muted colors with a matte-like finish, not super glossy. The bowls are sturdy-feeling for ceramic bowls and are dishwasher safe. I see this set getting plenty of use during parties. Only detractor is that it is a bit pricey for 3 small bowls and a tray; with a smidgen of work you could put together a similar set for half the price by buying the components separately. ... show more
