Description

Whether you want to keep your children or pets safe or beautify your outdoor living space, this Sturbridge no-dig fence is the perfect long-term solution. The best part of is this yard fence/pool fence is ease of installation. This innovative no-dig fence installation method doesn't require digging deep holes or pouring concrete, so it takes a lot of the time and labor out of installing your vinyl fencing. You install the white fence post much like chain link has been installed for the past 50 years- by driving a steel 1-5/8 3mm thick galvanized pipe anchor (included) deep into the ground with a sledge hammer or post pounder. If your pipe is slightly crooked after installation, you can utilize the included patented leveling donuts to adjust to level to compensate accordingly. Once you sleeve your vinyl fencing post over the pipe, it's straight and level. The end result is a sturdy and strong permanent white fence that will last decades, making it perfect as a general yard fence or pool fence. You will most likely need to order a terminating post to finish your vinyl fencing project (separate item- BL19042). This no-dig fence is not designed to be installed in excessively sandy or swampy soil or shale/slate. This white fence has been independently wind load tested and certified for up to category 1 Hurricane winds, which is why it is strong enough to keep your pets and children safe as a pool fence or yard fence.

I’m using this as a fence around my garden to keep my three Siberian Huskies out. The quality of the material is excellent. I have clay soil so pounding the steel posts was easy, if pounding posts 32” into the ground can be easy. I initially started with a 10# sledgehammer for 1’, checked to plumb and used a post pounder for the remaining 2’. The process of setting the posts, brackets, top and bottom rails, balusters, assembling and installing the gate is technically simple and the instructions are easy to follow. I used a total of 8 panels and 1 gate and had to cut 3 of the lengths because of the odd size of my garden. A hacksaw with a fresh, sharp blade did the job. I am very pleased with the finished fence. Now, for some advice. Lay out and carefully measure the project dimensions. I strongly advise using a post pounder. It took me about 10 hours over 3 days to complete and I was meticulous about plumb and level. ... show more

I recently fenced in a portion of my back yard for my Australian cattle dog, George. George need a lot of exercise. He plays games inside the fence with large herding balls and if the fence can handle that, it can handle anything I can imagine short of thermonuclear war. I installed several six foot sections, a gate, and some extra posts. Assembly was much easier than expected. I called WamBam several times with questions and about a broken part. And with so many orders of heavy items, you might expect more problems. Customer support was over the top excellent! They sent the replacement part right away and they provided lots of advice over the telephone. They answered ever question with information that made sense to me. The directions are very poor. They say to lift the donut off the pole, but it isn't big enough to fit over the top of the pole. One set of directions says that a post driver is the best tool to use, but they don't mention that the diameter of the driver needs to be at least three inches. I ruined one of the levelers because I used a smaller driver. (The directions in the finishing post do warn that the diameter needs to be at least three inches.) I never did figure out how to use the leveler. The video on the website was not at all helpful. If there is a helpful video on the website, it is must be hidden. I got the fence up and working with a few minor problems. Even though I thought I knew where to measure from and to to install the finishing post, I put it about a quarter inch too far from the first post. I used a sledge hammer to install it. I wish the fence had the same directions as the finishing post, though neither is good for a sometime diyer. I had to drill new holes in the brackets to get the bottom rail secured. Aside from all of the difficulties that I experienced putting up the fence, it serves the purpose I bought it to do. It is being used as a handrail at the back entry to my house. It is less expensive and, I think, no harder to install than an actual handrail, which would have required drilling into the concrete steps. This fence is amazing. It was very well thought out and designed. My 15 and 19 yr old boys put up 10 sections in 4 hrs. This fence is great and easy. I have told all my friends and strangers about it. The level process is a snap (don’t really need a level, I used one lol myself) looks are great. Ease is great and I don’t expect any trouble over the winter in Indiana as to how these went in it should be fine. I would scream from the Empire State to all to buy if considering a diy vinyl fence. I bought 2 of these. Easy to install, quality hinges. Issue is these are basically hollow, with small blocks of wood at corners and they are quite flimsy. After a month in the sun the door sags as there is no bracing/support like some other gates so the door no longer works with the pool safety latch. I would install a diagonal brace but children could use that to climb over. So while you can keep adjusting the door to latch, its not something you should have to do. We were looking for a gate to add onto our Trex deck, but didn't want to pay $800. This gate works great. It has a spring on it that ensures the gate closes and locks automatically once you exit. This feature keeps our German shepherd and English mastiff from escaping off the deck. They love being outside at times, which gives us no worries now.
