I've only had my new wallet for a week now, but every time I grab it on the way out the door, I pause, turn to my wife, and say "I L.O.V.E. my new wallet". As an efficiency-obsessed tech geek and style fanatic, I am rarely fully satisfied with anything I buy. Even with high-end products, there is almost always something I wish they'd done a little better (Apple/Mac products are the standout exception)... and that's OK. That's just me. So when I come across a product that hits all of my marks, I gotta say something. And this Gemonklee wallet hits pretty much all of my marks. Your criteria may not be the same as mine, so here are the marks that have me L.O.V.I.N.G. my new wallet: 1. Ultimate convenience - With three exterior card slots, I have everything I need for 99% of my transactions readily available at the slide of a thumb. Bank card, primary credit card, driver's license, boom. No flipping, no unfolding, no hassle. All three cards glide smoothly for quick access using the thumb slots, but hold snug enough that I'm not worried about them sliding out. There is also an ID slot inside the wallet too which I use for my work ID. These days, I've got to pull my driver's license out to be scanned every time I buy beer at the grocery store, so a transparent ID slot isn't helpful. But for work, I just need to flash my badge to get past security, and this slot is perfect for that. 2. Secure holder for backup cards - I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I was in love with the slight bulk that came with this particular wallet when I opened up the packaging. I really thought I wanted something much slimmer to give me the flexibility to put it in ANY pocket. But I became an instant fan of the inside compartment because it tackles a common problem with 'standard' wallets by offering the flexibility to add/remove cards without overstretching the slots. This means I don't need to worry about how to handle the variability of carrying gift cards, temporary store credit cards, medical insurance IDs, etc. that are only occasionally needed but stretch my old leather so that my usual cards slip out when the slot isn't fully occupied. This even happens when keeping two cards in on slot and just using one of the cards for a transaction. I've been embarrassed on more than one occasion when I pull one card out and its 'companions' in that slot come spilling out after it. With the plastic compartment inside, the cards are held with pressure on the side/edge of the cards, so whether you've got 1 or 6 cards in there, they're always held snug. Then, with a slide of the switch, the cards are fanned out to allow you to pick the one you need, and go. Brilliant. 3. The cash strap - Personally, I hate cash. But the reality is, ya just gotta carry some around every once in a while, and you need something to keep it together and secure. But money clips are NOT the answer for me. I've tried all kinds of clip mechanisms and I've never found one I like... particularly the ones that are attached to wallets. They're just terrible. So this elastic cash strap design was one of the bigger selling points for me. It can hold a decent wad or just a single bill without deforming or loosening. But it's also practically hidden by the leather flap. Perfect. 4. Style - To me, this is one of the nicest looking wallets I've ever seen. The sueded leather seems to be of a super high quality, and the stitching is tight and perfectly uniform around all of the contours. I also love the black-on-brown design which looks even better in person. Add a little gleam from your AirTag in its special compartment, and this is a tech/style geek's dream. If I could change anything about the wallet, I'd make the inside card compartment just a bit slimmer. I love the design, but the capacity is just more than I need, even when I load it up with ancillary cards. If Gemonklee offered another model that was a little more streamlined, it would be perfect. If you need (or like) to carry a separate credit card wallet then this is one of the best in my experience. I’ve carried the kind where the outer shell is made entirely out of metal and it was great, for a few days, until it looked like I used it for batting practice! But even all beat up it still worked ok; it’s primary shortcoming was it had two halves you could put anything in. I’ve also carried a soft shelled card case which offered a couple of extra access slots to hold something (say perhaps business cards or ins. id cards) which was handy. This card wallet, besides having a primary slot with a nice thumb press that extends the hard credit cards being held, has two extra card slots on one side (perhaps to be used for id or credit cards one wishes to keep separate), a single slot on the inside which can be used for possibly a DL or Ins. Id cards, etc., and has yet another slot on the opposite outside area to hold another card/id/whatever you may wish to keep separate. In other words, this card wallet has four separate slots to be used however you wish. In addition, it is well made and looks quite nice all while remaining fairly slender. All in all, this looks and feels classy while being easily the most functional card wallet I’ve ever owned. Finally, it has a round slot on one side which holds perfectly an access key I use for quick entry into what I’ll simply refer to as a locker (for all you military types or LEO’s, of which I was both, use your imagination on that one) as I would rather not be more specific here! To each their own but, for the price, it has worked out really well for me! ... show more

    • Great minimalist wallet with plenty of space

So far I like the wallet. It feels well constructed and it has enough room for just about everything that would matter. Only nitpick is I have a Medicare card (one of those paper ones) and you are not supposed to laminate them. So it would be nice if there one extra pocket to accomadate paper cards. Outside of that it is a nice wallet. It has a place for your AirTag whereas my old bifold was a bulging mess with the AirTag being stuffed in a side pocket. The lever mechanism for your cards works great and feels solid. It is the best minimalistic style wallet that doesnt act like everyone is walking around with only 5 things on them. It will fit 6 cards comfortably in the main compartment with several more on the backside of it. I recommend it for most people. ... show more

This wallet is crafted well and designed uniquely for a minimalist AirTag wallet. The AirTag space is conveniently paired with the cash/money area, along with the 3rd main card slot on the back of the wallet. The interior ID slot is easily accessible and visible. Also on the inside, the card mechanism is easy to use -- simply slide in all of the cards, and use the sliding mechanism on the side to eject and use a specific card. Overall, this wallet has many perks and little-to-no flaws and has been an easy transition from another type of wallet. This is a great wallet if you like something or need something that’s utilitarian and not cumbersome. I have tried AirTag wallets in the past, and none of them were ever able to securely hold the AirTag in place. They eventually would fall out, or start to get loose. This wallet, keeps my AirTag, nice and tight and snug, and at the same time it has a phenomenal Sliding credit/debit card mechanism. I never have to sort through my wallet and pull out every car trying to find the right one again. I would recommend this to anybody that is looking for a way to never lose your wallet again with the AirTag and never want to struggle finding the right card in your wallet again ... show more
