The features and capabilities of this smart watch are what make it a good deal. It has so many ways to assist you during your day and right on your wrist. The buttons on the side took me some getting used to navigating, remembering which were on the left and right. The display was large enough to see, but the layouts could have been more user-friendly. My son, however, is super smart and beyond the 5th grade, so he can utilize all the functions, from working to sports and playing. This is a quality smartwatch for the price! The overall design and build quality is very nice and it doesn't feel or look cheap. The watch feels very durable and has a nice design to it. It's very comfortable on the wrist and isn't too heavy either. The watch band is comfortable and I love the material they used. The touch screen is very nice, responsive and bright, but can be a little difficult to see in direct sunlight, depending on the angle. It has a lot of features and the interface is pretty easy to navigate and use. In terms of accuracy, it is in the same ballpark as other smart watches I have used. The battery life is pretty good and doesn't take long to charge. The battery life will vary of course depending on how much or how little you use it and it's features. The app this comes with is also pretty good and pretty user friendly. When connected, you can get notifications from a lot of different apps right on your smart watch. I found the notifications come through pretty quickly and work as I would expect. All things considered, this is a good smart watch for the price and it works well. I have used smart watches and fitness trackers for many years. I have worn this watch for 3 weeks alongside a name brand tracker (not smart watch). So, other than the fact that that my first one didn't like getting wet (I did not swim, just laying on a pool float), overall this is a great tool for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on one of the big name brands. There's lots of good, some so-so and not really a lot of bad (mine might have been defective but I'm a little afraid to see if this one really is IP68). The first good thing that you'll learn is that you don't need to provide a lot of personal information and the DaFit app doesn't require an account or log in. The downside is that you will only get tracking history for 7 days recorded. That might be great for someone who only tracks fitness casually but I have very comprehensive data going back 10 years on my fitness tracker account (3 or 4 devices in that time but kept the same account). You have to measure and track in order to improve! Since I have worn this side by side with my tracker, it's interesting to note that some days the step count is almost the same on both devices (less than 50 step difference. Other days, this device is hundreds or even thousands of steps less than my tracker. Not sure why this is happening, but I think that this device sometimes doesn't always register the steps. Speaking of not registering steps, here is a big difference between this and a name brand tracker. This device lists dozens of different activities that it can track (including swimming (questionable)), BUT it only registers and records the amount of time on an activity and only when you manually start and stop the recording. I have never remembered to set this to record any exercise. By contrast, my name-brand tracker figures out all sorts of activities automatically - outdoor bicycling, indoor bicycling, elliptical, swimming, running, treadmill, weight lifting etc. I don't have to tell it I am going to do xyz, it just figures it out and usually within one minute of actual time spent. This lack of automatic activity detection is definitely a shortcoming but, it is a very inexpensive device. Some good stuff. The battery lasts a long time - as long as 8 days for me. The display is very bright and clear - I can even read texts without glasses. There is no automatic brightness, but you can turn the brightness down almost all the way and still read the screen outdoors. It can make and receive phone calls through its own speaker and microphone. They are pretty clear sounding but i turned that feature off. It can provide calendar reminders if you let it (I don't ). It can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and blood pressure. All seem to be pretty accurate. It also measures your sleep and sleep quality. Stuff I don't like that much. Turning the screen on automatically by raising your arm and turning your wrist to see the watch doesn't work consistently. When I'm in bed and turn over, there's the screen nice and bright shining in my eyes; when I want to see it I might flick my wrist 4-5 times and then give up and press a button to see the screen. The watch band is very stiff and thick which makes it hard to take off (which I now do before exposing it to water). The activity list is very long and more than one menu level deep so it takes a long time to find an activity if you want to record it. I couldn't find any way to delete unused activities to make the ones I need easier to find. ... show more

    • Incredible battery life... and that's about it
The best thing I can say about this watch is the battery life - absolutely incredible! I wore this watch for about 2 weeks an dit got me really addicted to data about my exercise and health. I'm just not sure I trust the data it was giving though. In the end, I found it was something I really wanted to use as part of my exercise routine so I went to th eApple store to compare it's readings to an Apple Watch. I found the two were very different in one particular regard: heart rate. This watch was reading my part rate 20+ beats more per minute than the Apple Watch and that bit of info made me not trust anything this watch said. It did lead me to immediately buy the Apple Watch, though, which I've been super happy with for the last couple of months. ... show more
