The hardest part was getting the old damaged muffler out. After that it was perfect. Less bulky than the original Subaru muffler so it was easier to install with the existing hanger assemblies. More room to work!

This muffler was hundreds of dollars cheaper than going to a shop to have it replaced. Not knowing what to expect, I bought it and it was easy to install. It is almost as quiet as the factory muffler. It fit perfectly. No modifications were necessary, it bolted in place and the whole job took about a half hour. You don't need to be a mechanic to do this job. I'm very glad I bought this. Don't forget to buy the replacement gasket for the flange. ... show more

Bought this muffler new in 2020. 4 years later its falling apart. The quality of the stainless steel is about the worst ive ever seen. I question that its actually stainless steel at all. For anyone buying this i suggest putting on several coats of high temp paint before installing ,or just not buy it. ... show more

Easy to install, quiet and comes with a chrome tip welded on. This is of good construction and is not a big and bulky as the original equipment muffler. Recommend spraying the bolts with some PB B'laster and let them sit for awhile before removing them. This was on an east coast vehicle where bolts can get rusted from road salt and the PB really helps. ... show more

    • "Quiet Flow" not very quiet
2015 Forester installation. I was immediately concerned when I saw the size of the Walker muffler compared to the Subaru muffler – it was about 2/3 the size and was oval as compared to the Subaru that was triangular. The noise is not too bad at higher RPM’s but it's quite noisy at 1.5 to 2.2k rpm. After about 4 months I got tired of the noise and replaced it with the much more expensive Subaru muffler. The hangers and the flange did line up perfectly though. ... show more

    • Your going to bend one of the arms slightly so the flanges aling.

A lot of scratches , dents , and rusty already …. Also it look like so one just welding the tube to body by using handz… no label or instruction shows any information about this muffler . Are this really a new one not a used one ?!
