So I bought this bc I share a room with my sister, we did have separate beds but it seems so crowded especially since I have so much art stuff and my gaming desk, the maximum weight is 200 I was worried bout that bc I am 194.6 and I’m like 5’3/5’4, I don’t know how much my mattress is but imma guess it’s around 17-18 lbs maybe even 16 I was very nervous to sleep on it but it didn’t fall while I was on it or anything lol however it is wobbly like I even screwed the screws on tightly to where if I was gonna take it apart for when I move out my dad has to get it but it’s lovely, with my sisters help it took us 2hours and 45 mins only bc I was the one doing the screwing rlly and she’s was just holding it up lol. It’s a 4/5 only bc it wobbles if u were to mount it to the wall it probably wouldn’t but I couldn’t figure out where the screws would even go I would’ve taken a video but I’m at work doing this lol. I would definitely recommend getting this just the wobble part that’s a bit nerve wracking but it’s not too bad ... show more

    • Okay bed; poor packaging
Having used several metal and bunk beds in the past, I can place this one on the bottom of the range in terms of stability. Unlike the beds with narrower vertical beams that use go through bolts, this one has larger diameter beams that rely on welded in nuts. This construction results in a little more play when assembled. My main issue is the quality control at the factory. The bed came in a cardboard box with a huge (about 1 foot in diameter) hole that was patched from the inside with cardboard and tape. A couple of parts were defective (but it came with enough spare parts to compensate for the defects). Some minor parts (like washers) were missing. Some of the vertical beams were not just scratched, but had metal indentations, in spite of intact packaging. All this points to very shoddy quality control at the factory itself. The bed is worth the money (I got it for under $200) but if you care about the looks, look elsewhere. ... show more
