Description

A bar for those with a slight fear of heights, this bar rises a mere 10.5 inches. The 1-inch clamp area (25.4 mm) is a standard offering in almost all Wald handlebars. The 23.5-inch width offers a slight aerodynamic advantage over this bar's big brother, the 8069.

  • Good bars- I wonder if the pictures are correct.
These bars are OK- strong steel and not terribly heavy- I HAVE TO WONDER though if maybe Amazon has the pictures crossed up between the 869 model bars and the 880- Both are 10.5 rise- I was surprised that these bars sloped back down at the ends as much as they do- MORE than the picture appears. I like high rise bars for my ancient aching back, but I like flatter bar ends- these really taper back downward. The 880 picture looks more down swept than this product picture and more like the 896 bars I got- and which are in fact stamped with "869" in the center. On the other hand I also just got some 870 bars- 9.5 rise, and they are fairly flat horizontal at the end. More at the ends. It's confusing from the pictures- so be aware these sweep down like the second wave of Sting Ray bars that came out with the "Fastback" about 1968- not the original 63 bars that are flat across. More pictures would be nice, and it is hard to photograph handlebars, especially not on the bike ... show more

  • These handlebars are for a child's bike.
The description of the handlebars is misleading, in my opinion. Amazon describes a 10 inch rise - which is accurate. However, the width of the handlebars is suitable only for a child's bike and too narrow for an adult bike. Also, the length of the grip area is much too short to mount brakes and/or shifters. I made due with the handlebars only by making major modifications to it; including bending it to proper width and the grip angles to a proper angle. I will need to manufacture an extension for the grips. Full dimensions of the handlebars would, in my opinion, vastly improve the satisfaction of the purchase by Amazon customers. ... show more

  • Uncomfortable hand grip angle.
Had to heat up and bend the hand grips because of their uncomfortable angle. Also hand grip bar length is too short if you're transferring a brake lever, shifter, and hand grip. These are more for a beach cruiser with no shifter.

  • Great hi rise bars!
Great bars for the price! I wanted some hi rise bars for my bike but that were not too long so I could still hook up my brakes and the were perfect! Not too short and not too long. Feel like quality bars and look clean. Only thing is they put some manufacture stickers where the grips would go that are hard to get off but easily get covered up by the grips. Overall great bars. ... show more

  • Perfect cruiser ape bars for my mountain bike.
These are exactly what I wanted to improve comfort by getting my posture straight up. Quality and fitment is great. Only small complaint I have is that the handle where you place your grips and brake levers aren’t long enough, resulting in some of the grip hanging at the ends.

  • Divath is a good seller.
Wasn't big enough. Customer service representative, Emma, was wonderful. They don't carry the larger version, or I would have swapped. But, Emma helped me return the smaller one for full refund. Seller gets five stars for excellent customer service.

  • The length of bar where grips go ? 2 inches longer
Dislike the bars where grips go needs to be about 2 inches longer so you can put accessories like brake handles ,and gear trigger switch with a full bike grip on it. Without mounting accessories on the bend of the bar.
