I was very nervous these sheets were going to be microfiber and I was thrilled when they showed up and they were cotton! It was a lot of Googling to try and find the thread count before I ordered, best I could narrow down was between 200-300 count. I washed the sheets as soon as they arrived and they softened up quite a bit. They are a low thread count, but not scratchy, and I think they will soften up with use. I do love the colors in the sheets. But the sheets are way too big for a double mattress. I try to tuck the extra material underneath but it wrinkles on the mattress which makes it uncomfortable to lay on. I kind of wish they were a little bit smaller to fit tighter. I would not buy them again
