  • Must have for any true movie buff
I don't know what some of you are raving about. Either you never tried the product or are just one of those people that like to complain. This has got to be one of the best inventions yet. Be sure you use the light shield. I have to admit, when I first put them on, it was hard to get the screen to line up on my face just right. I don't have a very big nose so it's not an easy task. However, when I put the light shield on it works flawlessly. I even laid on the floor and watched an entire movie, felt like I was in a movie theater because of the complete darkness and sound proof headphones. My wife tried them and said the same thing. The screen resolution is great, you have to realize that they aren't even an inch but when you put them on, they feel like a 50 inch or more. I own a 65" TV and it sits about 10 feet away. If I am in an empty room with no distractions and complete darkness, it looks the same. For someone who is a professional movie critic, I can't get enough of movies. Trust me people, you won't be disappointed with this purchase. ... show more

  • Better off buying Rayban's, don't buy.
After purchasing the "Vuzix Wrap 310XL Widescreen Video Iwear Eyewear Glasses" you can't help but feeling ripped off. We though that this would be a cool alternative to an LCD screen at an event, though the glasses lacked depth and after plugging them into the iPhone to get the video, the projected video actually seemed as if you were looking at a screen even SMALLER than the iPhone screen (if that's even possible). You're better off showing a video on a TV, PC monitor or if you haven't space to move, you should look at purchasing either a tablet or a smart phone. NOT worth they buy...unless you pay $30 for them not the $300 odd we paid. HOPFULLY you're not reading this after you purchased them...The silver lining is that the manufacturer actually sells these for almost $700 (+ postage is extra) a pop, making me feel better about spending almost $300. ... show more

  • Disappointing
This product did not live up to expectations. First off the image was not nearly as big as I had expected based on their promise of being like a 56" monitor at 10'. It may be technically correct but did not feel like it. Secondly it only works with applications that support the Apple TV Out adapter, which as far as I could find out is only the the iPod application and youtube. All in all not worth the money for me, so I returned it. ... show more

  • Good Concept, not so good execution
I bought this for a Christmas present and thought it could be used to enlarge everything, including phones. The only thing it seemed to work on was videos on the iphone. Too bad, its a nice concept but not realistic to think people would only use it to watch videos when you play games and do other things on your phone these days. The return process was very easy and I received my refund within 2 days of them receiving the returned package. ... show more

  • Engage Lt. La Forge...
These are the neatest thing. I can fly and watch movies, musicals and concert videos from my iPod (160g Classic) and have a great multi-media experience! Battery life is better than my laptop (AA x 2) and no disruptions of the force between me and my seat mate over my choice of inflight diversion. The Vuzix Wrap 310XL Widescreen Video Iwear Eyewear Glasses really work as promised. Complete view of media and great detail and clarity (no headache - I was a little worried about that possibility). The only thing is the wiring - I like to use my noise cancelling earbuds - and so I percieve that I look like Captain Piccard after he was assimilated by the Borg. Although still less cumbersome than my laptop. I think that before I use them again that I will try them on and peer at myself in a mirror and assess the visual impact - no I won't - instead I'll remember that this is truly some "Star Trek" type of stuff and just boldly watch my media as if no one was watching me watch my media in a way that few have done before! I recently bought a tablet - but I think the Vuzix might be my default media interface during flights - they're a lot less intrusive, a bit more personal - and leave room on my tray table for the bag of peanuts and beverage of my choice. Kirk out! ... show more

  • wrap glasses
I bought these glasses for my husband for Christmas. He had seen them at Brookstone, he loved them. When I went to order them I was disappointed with the reviews and didn't want to order them. I had to tell him about my fears that he would not be able to use them with his phone or other devices he had planned on using them with. Some of the reviews were incorrect. He checked out the web site and said he still wanted them. He loves them and shows them off to everyone. I think they are heavy but since he wears glasses normally he said it was fine. He is able to adjust the view for his eyesight. He is enjoying his new "toy". Also wanted to mention that on the manufacturer website the glasses were more expensive than the Amazon listing with the same manufacturer?! Felt more confident in ordering from Amazon and the company!!! ... show more

  • purchased Vuzix Wrap 310XL Widescreen Video Iwear Eyewear Glasses
i purchased these because it was advertised to support android devices and i found it to be a complete lie, i had to order a ipod to android adapter off line to use this thing. i with you would make it a 100% return guarantee if it is falsely advertised.
