UPDATE: The company reached out and offered a replacement, so i took them up on that offer. I've been using this almost daily since and other than the light thing, the other issues are not there. Batteries work great and last. no funny smells and it works MUCH MUCH better than the first. I think it was just a faulty unit. However the support behind this was amazing, even after they replaced it, they reached out to make sure I was happy. That itself speaks volumes. Well done, you have turned an angry customer into a happy one. So where to begin, I thought all these power ratchets are the same, this one had a good price for what you get. The problems begin with the light, its behind your hand so when you turn it on, its partially blocked (its used on an angle, not like a screwdriver). Then the batteries themselves, just died off both within 20 mins of use. I feel like im constantly recharging them if I have a longer job. Not how that should go. Then lets talk about the funny smell that comes from it when you are using it. It almost smells like the inside is burning, but I dont see any smoke. However it wouldnt surprise me if someday it did. If i were you, id pass on this brand, im sure they arent all the same but this one fails big time

The power rachet was great, long battery life, power torque, easy to use. Did not have a problem, even recommended it to friends, until both batteries were dead and I noticed battery charger doesn't work. Good not find information on manufacturer to buy a new charger for the batteries. Other than that, it works great. If someone can help, let me know.....

Bought the same tool a year or so ago; I think they changed the design tbh. I distinctly remember the old one being much better. This one isn't as nice. It works decently for what I need it to do though. I love getting amazon tools and putting them to work in a diesel shop (big trucks like Freightliners). The trigger is single stage, I swear. You press it and got 100% power. No soft press for slight movement. It's all or nothing. Batteries last decently enough. Torque isn't bad at all; double checked my bolts with a 3/8 long handled ratchet and found them to be satisfactory. The light is a joke tbh but what do you expect? lol If you need a cordless ratchet and can't wait to get a better one, this isn't a bad one to start with. It helped me change DPF filters without issue. Just use this to help you make some money so you can afford the name brand stuff.

It works just fine, can loosen and tighten those tough bolts that don’t budge. Lightweight and slim profile. Perfect tool for under a $100.

I bought this because I am 80% DeWalt tools and batteries. Used in during a brakes & rotors replacement on my granddaughters VW and enjoyed the extra too this represents. I did notice that the metal part above the yellow area did get very warm. very warm. I used the small battery it came with and it lasted beyond 3 of the 4 wheels but we did put a strain on it. I would recommend this for a home garage mechanic and I would recommend this for anyone that wants to check it out. This should not be considered a replacement for air compressor tools. My bruised hand says it probably does have 40 foot pounds torque because I was not careful to protect my hands against torque when a bolt seats and stops the tool. Bang, I am sure it has at least 22 ft lbs torque based on my torque wrench set and having to loosen then tighten slightly with the torque wrench. OH, and it comes with a nice case with foam cutouts for the 2 batteries and their charger plus the tool. I did not use the sockets included because VW is metrics and noted that they appear torque wrench quality.
