  • Cost Efficient, Comfortable and High Quality (Detailed Review)
Want to play certain games in VR on your Nintendo Switch, but don't want to go through the trouble of putting together the Nintendo Labo VR? Look no further! While Nintendo's Labo VR is much more cost efficient than other VR headsets on the gaming market, OIVO's Labo VR headset is not only even more cost efficient, but is convieniently put together right out of the box. And unlike Nintendo's Labo VR, OIVO's Labo VR has a much needed headstrap! That way, you can rest your arms and even play some games with wireless controllers. Another plus to the OIVO Labo VR is that the headset itself is very lightweight, making it comfortable to use even during 1+ hours of gameplay. If you're worried about your Nintendo Switch falling out of the OIVO Labo VR headset when using wireless controllers, then don't worry at all. The Switch strap safely secures your Switch in the headset and will not fall out, but if you're still concerned for your Switch's safety, simply add a spare pair of Joy Cons to the sides of your Switch, although doing that may make the headset heavier. If you were hoping to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in VR with wireless controllers, sorry to say, but the game does not allow wireless controllers during gameplay. However, VR in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recommends to watch battles as opposed to playing them. Also, seeing some of the stages in VR is very cool and allows you to see more than you usually do during normal gameplay. Other games, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, look very beautiful in VR, and the 3D effect really shows its true capabilities in that particular game. That is my detailed review of the OIVO Labo VR for Nintendo Switch. So, is it worth buying? Absolutely! It works as intended and has many advantages over the Nintendo Labo VR. While there are not many Nintendo Switch hits that support the VR feature, I can guarantee there will be many great games in the future that will support VR, and I'll be using the OIVO Labo VR more and more in the future. You should consider doing the same! ... show more

  • Do NOT buy this!
The nintendo switch is not designed for VR. It just doesn't work. The strap is quite bad, has a very hard time adjusting and staying put. Mine kept sliding and sagging, after trying to adjust it three times, I gave up. The viewing area is non adjustable, right away I noticed how blurry everything was. I know it's not my eyeballs, because I am wearing contacts. These lenses are out of focus and are the equivalent of using reading glasses. This VR headset is a really uncomfortable, awful experience. You would get a much better experience by just putting the switch closer to your face, which is really all this headset is doing, it's making the viewing area smaller (turns into a circle) and makes it blurrier, grainier and with no way to adjust the lenses, you are stuck with a worse viewing situation. Just stick with the tv, handheld mode, or buy one of those holders that can hold a switch/cellphone, because if you're going to just make the image closer to my face, I can think of several other items to purchase that do a better job than this thing. ... show more

  • Technically functional.
I bought this product for two reasons. I wanted to have a backup VR view for my Switch just in case the Labo viewer were to wear out, and I wanted to try a hands-free VR viewer without damaging the Labo viewer. I just finished trying it out and I have to say I'm disappointed. They technically work. The lenses seem to be a match for the Labo VR in quality, clarity, and placement. And even though you can tell the body is made from thin and cheap material, it seems like it'll be at least a little more durable than cardboard. The problem is the comfort. The front of the viewer has functionally no padding for your face and head. Since you are relying on the straps to keep the viewer in place, it needs to be tight to your head. The forehead portion is not curved nearly enough to fit my head properly. It looks curved, but it is flat enough that the entire weight of the Switch rests on a two-inch section above my eyebrows. Imagine pressing the spine of a hardcover book against your forehead and tying it in place while you are trying to have fun. It just isn't very ergonomic. I was only willing to try this product because of the low price. If there was a more comfortable and better-made alternative I would be willing to pay more. ... show more

  • This certain product allows for more things than the toy con kit
This product is probably the best solution for switch vr, the toy con goggles have to be held up and are made out of cardboard which is obviously not too strong. This is made out of strong materials so it feels very sturdy and the straps on the back make the switch playable as an actual vr experience. It’s hard on the eyes but that’s not the headset’s fault, the switch just wasn’t meant for vr as the individual pixels are definitely noticeable. But the best thing about this particular product is the fact that you can play it without having your hands on your head, in botw (not sure about other games) if you connect your joycons to the switch you can enter vr mode and then connect another controller, it will try to boot you out but if you press the “close” button it will take you back to vr mode with your second controller as the dominant controller. Unfortunately if you accidentally press ANY buttons on the joy cons connected to the switch it will try to boot you out of vr mode again. If you do this. Connect up some headphones. And then sit down in a nice comfy place. You’ll have yourself a pretty immersive vr experience that you can’t as easily get with the official toy con vr kit. There were no major problems and I highly recommend this product ... show more

  • Highly decieving photo's
When i ordered this product all the pictures of it and all the video's of it made it look like the goggles were made out of plastic or a similar material, however when i received it i noticed it was made of a felt like material with some extremely dense foam inside. I am not upset with this however because despite it not being what i expected it is still a great product that is fairly comfortable to use (the only downside is it fog's really easy when you breath through your nose hence the four stars rather than five). Overall a really good product and i highly recommend it. ... show more
