These sheets feel wonderful for the first week or so but very rapidly deteriorate upon contact with any degree of rough/dry skin or the slightest presence of whiskers - on any body part. The sheets were removed from the bed, washed, and dried once/week. At the end of the first week, it was becoming apparent which of us slept on which side of the bed and who used which pillow. By 8 weeks, even my husband with alopecia (medically caused no hair) on his legs had quite a bit of roughness on his side of the bed, down in the leg area. His pillowcase was so rough as to be unusable. Mine wasn't much better, but that, I suppose, was because we have a farm and even though I use gloves and LOTS of lotion every day, my hands are still a little on the rough side in a couple of places and I sleep with them under the pillow. That was enough to turn my pillowcase into a rough uncomfortable disaster. I will NOT be putting these back on the bed and I can't imagine the local thrift store being able to sell them so the only thing I can think of using them for at this point is to cut them into strips to hang around the chicken yard to help dissuade areal predators as they flap in the breeze. I suppose that maybe if you have super soft smooth skin and sleep in pajamas and socks, and use depilatory rather than razors, then these sheets might be a good purchase. they are soft and satiny and exactly what I was looking for. yes they're slippery but satin sheets are supposed to be. i suspect if you jumped in bed wearing satin jammies you could probably slide right into another dimension. i absolutely love them!

We have 5 beds in our house, all with satin sheets. Because each person wants different colored sheets, I've purchased multiple products from multiple sellers. I can say without a doubt that the VONTY brand satin sheets are the best I've found on Amazon. They're miles ahead of their competition in quality. Unfortunately, they don't come in a huge array of colors. But I'm willing to sacrifice a less than perfect color in order to stick with the quality provided by VONTY. Love these so much. I really like the pearly pink color. I have washed them thrice, according to instructions, and I have not noticed any damage or wear. The material is very smooth and soft. I have zero complaints. It was hard to find a set for twin with deep pockets. I was worried this set wouldn't fit, but it's perfectly sized. I also expected the fitted bed sheet would slide off but I have not had that problem. I love this set so much I am thinking of buying another set in a different color. ... show more

I bought 100% mulberry silk pillowcases for my husband and me, and we loved the softness so much that we decided to get these affordable satin sheets to go with them. CONFESSION: We actually like this sheet set BETTER than our very very expensive pillow cases!! (This sheet set is the same price as ONE of the silk pillowcases.) The sheen on these sheets is absolutely gorgeous!! (We got the ivory.) We turn the top sheet over so the extra soft satin side is against our bodies... My husband and I CANNOT TELL A DIFFERENCE IN THE SILKY SOFTNESS of our silk pillowcases and this sheet set. (And Satin is much more durable and easy to care for than our high end pillowcases.) I am very pleased with the sheets! I have way too many cats and am also fostering kittens so I was dreading their claws destroying these... but they actually haven’t done much damage, my own stiletto nails have poked a few dents that I was able to undo by wiggling the sheet threads back in place! Wash them alone on cold or warm when needed and tumble dry low to avoid pilling from other fabrics, still smooth and shiny! Minor threads pulled by kitties but surprisingly small damage considering there are 10+ sets of claws running rampant thru my home. A savior during this California heat wave!!! Just make sure your feet aren’t dry or broken toe nails bc they will catch and get super annoying lol! My hair that I never remember to wrap up at night is also pleased. Only complaint is the fitted rides up on my pillow top, but so do regular sheets, gonna try some sheet suspenders to solve that! UPDATE: so I’m back for my second set of sheets because I finally got a duvet insert and decided to spring for a satin duvet as well! But let me tell you this first set of sheets are still on my bed they have survived many washes in many cat claws with very minor damage... A ton of people put in their reviews that they had trouble washing these, I don’t know how you’re doing, but all I do is wash them on cold or warm if I feel like they need it by themselves and dry on low. They do have a few spots where it was obviously imprinted by the machine that did not go back flat after drying, this could be remedied by using a less ancient machine or hand washing and hang drying (which I do a ton for all my satin nightgowns and stuff anyway, so it wouldn’t be that big of a deal for me, but if you’re a busy person a nicer front loading machine on delicate might be best) I also suggest getting some sort of sheet suspenders unless you have the type of bedframe that really locks sheet on because the fitted does slide off throughout the night without them! I don’t ever wanna go back to regular sheets these really help my sensory issues and make me feel relaxed!!! ... show more
