Affordable price for the quantity but seems a waste of plastic if such a large number come dry. If buying for your child’s teacher, stick with the name brands that are requested if they last longer and are more reliable for quality control. This is the second time I have purchased but the only time I tested the ink before gifting. I am feeling bad if the first teacher is not telling me some markers don’t mark dark enough for school use. I only puchased black markers, so that's all I can comment on.. They are not as dark as Expo, and it does smear when erased, but so do the Expo at times. It did not spread or bleed when I was writing. Honestly, the price cannot be beat, and these are perfectly fine. I bought these for the office, and I go through a lot of dry erase markers, so price was very important. For personal use at home, I will probably stick with Expo. I have used the Universal brand chisel tip dry erase markers, and they are not good, so I will not spend money to try their fine tip markers. However, I am sure Volcanics is better. ... show more

UPDATE: After I reached out to the company they immediatley responded and mailed me another pack. I would purchase again. I bought these to restock my kids teacher's supply, and they arrived opened. The package appears to be cut open, so I think they may have resold a returned item. I'm going to try and contact the company for a replacement. That being said, I tested a couple and they seem to work okay. We've ordered these in the past, off the teacher's wishlist so I think they are teacher's approved. My daughter says theirs are all dried up, but I know they use them a lot and I think I ordered the last set before Thanksgiving. ... show more

I did get one out of the packaging the same day I got them and uncapped it to reveal a very fine point, which is great. The color was also very intense and opaque and would not smudge, even when wiping off with just the tip of my fingers. However, I haven't properly used them for work, which is the intended purpose, because I ordered them before I ran out of the ones I already had. I am down to my last couple of the previous ones.
