Purchased this carpet to replace a traditional type carpet that was only about 1yr old and wore very poorly. I decided to try this type in hopes it will hold up better. The carpet feels soft on our feet, but is very thin (I expected and wanted that). I was very happy with how flat it laid right away and the rubber backing is definitely non-slip, I don't even need anything under it to hold it down. It feels like it will not get crushed down and worn like a regular carpet. The colors are accurate to photos and go with my neutral color scheme nicely. I hope it holds up well! ... show more

The flooring in my office is vinyl-topped laminate. I have a chair that seems quite able to chew up the vinyl. A couple of boards got replaced and to avoid the need to replace more, I ordered this rug. It isn't hugely thick and it isn't a verified Persian carpet. However, the design is quite attractive and although it arrived folded, it spread out with no identifiable lines or marks. My only regret is that I should have bought this before the flooring was installed. It lies flat, is odor free, and vacuum cleaning is a snap.
