First off: IT WORKS! Filters ground coffee well. Keeps it hot for 1 hour and warm for 3 hours while drinking, maybe longer if top kept closed fully for more than 3 hours. I remove the inner beaker filter once it’s brewed so that may reduce the heat insulation, but it’s lighter and you can drink it all. The filter doesn’t allow 100% emptying of the liquid coffee. It has fewer simpler parts than 3 others I tried. The flip top is well designed and a must. There’s nothing more annoying than having to unscrew the top for each sip. Holds 16 oz if the inner filter removed. I use it for hot coffee and iced drinks. The colors are yummy! I bought the mustard color for me, and purple for a friend. It feels good to hold as it has a matt finish, not slippery metal. Five stars!! ... show more

Was looking for a way to easily brew Crio ground cacao at work and found this. I already french press at home and the steps are nearly identical with the VIVA french press bottle. Very easy to use, just six minutes, stir up or twirl the bottle, another two minutes, then press everything down. Keeps my Crio hot and fresh even after waiting a long time on a second pour. Cleanup is quick and easier than the french press, which I greatly appreciate. ... show more

Going from 5 stars to 1. Loved this going in but today after installing the inner sleeve/filter, the pressure from the hot water being contained with the lid closed caused a loud pop and shook my hand. I couldn’t see that it cracked inside until I tried to drink and it spilled. Wasn’t dropped or crossed threaded, just POPPED under expanding heat pressure. Used it as I always have. Checking the warranty…but not sure I want another. ... show more

I drink a lot of tea and wanted to find a travel mug that would let me easily brew it and go. This mug does that, for sure. I’d already had an iced tea press (from a different company) that follows the same principle: pour in tea, pour in water, steep, then add the plunger and the strained tea comes up through the middle. I love the way that works, and this mug works the same way. (In case you’re wondering, once the tea is tamped down to the bottom, the surface area is massively reduced, so the tea doesn’t keep brewing or become bitter.) This mug, though, is so much nicer than the cheap iced tea press I have. It truly feels luxurious. The color is gorgeous, the non-slip bottom is a great touch, and it just feels to nice to hold. I also love the little indentation for the lower lip, and the opening is set directly against the edge, so there’s no room for liquid to pool after sipping (an annoyance on some other travel mugs). This also keeps tea HOT, to the point that I often let it cool a bit before putting the lid on. I had been hesitant to pay nearly $50 for a travel mug, but this is truly worth it, especially if you can get it on sale. This own mug I have more than meets my needs. I work from home and don’t travel often, so I don’t NEED more. Yet I’m so tempted to order more in the other colors just because I love them so much. ... show more

It’s a great cup. It keeps everything warm for hours. The capacity is about 8-10 oz. Fits well in car cup holders. It does trap a bit of liquid in the first cylinder. Other than that it’s great!
