I normally wear a 2X in most store-bought tops. After reading all the reviews here, I decided on ordering a size 22 and it fits perfectly. The only issue I have with it is that it is very long. I could almost wear it as a dress! But the fit is good other than that. I am 5'3" tall. As it is a tunic style top, and I planned to wear it with leggings anyway, the length will be ok. I would rather have the length hemmed up 4 or 5 inches, but I don't sew and would have to take it somewhere for alterations. It's not a sweater or sweatshirt at all, it's just like a jersey top. I thought I was buying the black heathered sweater with the buttons, but it is not a sweater. It’s a long sleeve t-shirt. It’s not too tight, but it is not loose fitting.
