I am 5.6 and 150lb. I wear either an 8 or a 10 in pants depending on the fit. Despite the reviews that this ran big, I decided on a 10 and I'm glad I did. It is not too tight, but it is not falling down. It has a comfortable fit. I'm sitting in it writing this and it is not digging into me. I like the length. For me it is not too short or too long. If you wanted it shorter, you could fold the bottom hem. I like how it has a small slit on the side and is slightly longer in the back than the front. It was too tight in the waist and way big at the hem. The size is way off. I washed it and it frayed 2 inches shorter making it unwearable.
