    • Have Viotek 27" that has been solid, 34" no so.
I upgraded to a new machine and needed a new monitor to enjoy the new video card. I got this in and installed it no problem but started to notice eye fatigue, then the monitor started blinking on and off like resetting a video card. Switched, cables, reinstalled drivers exc. That was when I noticed on bright back grounds I would see small black lines. I went and grabbed my sons monitor, no issues. Grabbed my old Viotex 27", no issues.     • Dead Pixel - No Customer Service
Monitor came to me with a dead pixel. Viotek's warranty repair website "cannot be found" and the phone number they provide goes to a service that tries to sell you hearing aids and DirecTV. In their "About Us" they state a dead pixel policy. This tells me that it is a recurring issue that they deal with a lot. Probably why their phone number and warranty repair site don't work. If you try to return the monitor through Amazon, the fastest you'll get your money back is on a gift card in 30 days after they inspect it. The monitor ghosts blacks. The smearing is really bad. Roll the dice at a very cheap price and see what you get? ... show more

    • Foam Monitor Bag Upside Down; Previous Monitor needs unplugged sometimes under LInux
The monitor is stuffed into its foam plastic monitor bag currently with the opening at the TOP of the monitor. But the stand attaches to the BOTTOM. In order to attach the stand, and install the monitor safely in a complicated place, it is necessary to take the foam bag off the monitor; reverse it and put it back on so that the bag is open at the BOTTOM; install the stand while the bag is still there; and then install the monitor into its location, with the protective foam bag still over the monitor so it doesn't get scratched while it's torquing around corners and banging into walls and boxes. Finally you can take the foam bag off the monitor in its installed position. This is unnecessary work, and indicates that the manufacturing company has not run actual eat-your-own-dogfood focus test runs with naive customers. Foam bag should be installed with the monitor open at the bottom, from the factory. My previous VIOTEK widescreen monitor, on a Linux Mint machine with an nVidia card, after a power outage or glitch, would refuse to sync up with the GPU output, saying No Signal. It gets stuck in some kind of funky mode. Apparently power cycling from its switch does not cure this; apparently it is necessary to unplug the unit from the wall, wait a handful of seconds, then plug it back in. This resets some kind of internal mode and allows it to sync right back up again. This is a PITA and I hope that the current generation of VIOTEK monitors has this solved. Still, excellent value for the money, I love the wide screen; and I have reordered. ... show more

    • cane faulty out of the box
Everytime I turn monitor on, left half of screen comes on distorted. You have to turn off and in severao times b4 it comes on as it should. Contacted viotek by email since they dont have telephone customer service, abd they have yet to respond! Good luck with getting Viotek to honor any warranty they claim to offer on any of their products, as you may be lucky to even get a response. ... show more
