These are lovely, streamlined sandals that would likely be a great shoe for most folks who need minimal to medium arch support. Think of classy minimalist sandals with a summer dress, silk cargo pants, or a tropical hued bikini. I'd wear these with white short shorts to give 'legs for days.' Vionics are quality shoes, sturdy and supportive, so these are an excellent price point. The Dillon is a classic streamlined sandal that won't look dated next summer. As much as I really wanted these to work, my painful feet need more arch support than these could give. It's hard to quantify, because everyone's got all kinds of weird feet, but I'll try: Let's say that arch support in shoes ranges between 0-5, with cheapo flip-flops at 0 and maximum support at 5. These sandals would come in at a strong 3 with good support for regular feet or those who need just a little support. In contrast, the Vionic Tide II comes in at a definite 5 and, with its rigid sole, provides the level of support my wonky feet demand. Unfortunately, the Tide II are a basic looking sandal and nowhere as pretty as these Dillon sandals are. Either way, these sleek classy sandals are exceptionally priced, perfectly hued for a tanned summer foot on the beach or out to dinner afterwards, and great for folks that require minimal to medium arch support. ... show more

    • burning heel pain, be gone!
Honestly, these are way ugly. Bear with me, though!!! I was looking for something easy to slip on to take my dogs out quick or run to the mailbox (basically outside houseshoes) In the warmer weather I am usually in 3+ inch wedge sandals for both work and casual events and I am usually barefoot at home, but it has been so dry and crunchy around here lately that my feet are still sensitive little babies this far into the season... I do sometimes suffer from muscle fatigue in my calves and crazy heel pain on & off, the price I pay for fashion and gaining a couple of inches in height... This is my 5th pair I have tried of "throw-on flippies" (including Reef, Teva & Sanuk) and I swear to you my heel pain has been a bit relieved after just making and cleaning up dinner! I had just opened them this evening...I got a 7.5 (I can wear 6.5-8 depending on the shoe, but my "sneaker" size is usually 7.5) In these, I am going to exchange for a straight size 7 due to where the arch support sits on me. The straps are padded all cushy with a soft fabric where it meets your skin. The in-between-toe-thong part is kind of like a backpack strap but I expect once you wear and wash them a few times it will soften up. Oh, I say they are "ugly" because the straps are a poor attempt at patent leather, but that is just my opinion as I was expecting a matte surface... keep that in mind though if you are looking for something that could possibly be dressed up! I for one will embrace that fancy sheen as I strut to the mailbox. I do also love the fact that the straps do not meet the top of the sole, no hard nubs pushing or rubbing my feet! ( this shoe has the straps wrap outside your foot) These flops are also pretty heavy feeling but in a good way akin to the heft of a memory foam mattress. They take some getting used too. They are very loose and heavy for me for a flip flop. They are pretty and have the arch support I need but I wouldn’t wear them all day. Don’t go by me because my friend with a severe back problem lives in them and swears by them. In fact that’s why I bought them

    • Pain is GONE! Ahhhhhhh
Between relieving the lower back pain I get standing for even a few minutes to how my bunyans are improving, these shoes are miraculous! Seriously! The back pain is gone even when I stand on the hard kitchen floors for hours! Nothing I’ve tried has ever helped! My bunyans (from years of wearing too-small high heels in the 80s) were super unattractive but NOW they’re nearly GONE! It’s crazy, I know. I wish I’d have taken before/after pics but I wasn’t expecting this benefit at all! I’ve had this pair for about a month and I wear them every day. I ordered more at the sale price so I’d never be without. Once I find boots and sneakers that feel as wonderful, I’m having a pop-up closet shoe sale. Get ‘em. ... show more

I own other Vionic sandals & flats, but this style didn’t work for me. The footbed was comfortable & easy on my heel pain, but the shoe was a bit wide for my slimmer foot & the straps didn’t fit securely. By comparison I love the Vionic Women's Terra Flat Sandal for it’s fit, style & comfort. Also, the shoe box came torn & caved in, which now is happening more when they ship in bags. ... show more
