The soles were a thick rubber and they were well made like these vionic sandals. Sometimes thick good quality leather shoes are a little stiff but once you wear them and break them in they get more and more comfortable plus they last a long time. They were unique and kind of stuff only because no one wore them enough to break them in. I wore these sandals today for the first time to church than grocery shopping. They are cute , well made, a little stiff but comfortable especially when I break them in cos I'll be wearing them often. Reminds me of those sandals me and my sisters shared.

Comfortable and stylish. The platform is nice too since I'm petite. Only thing I would change is the material of the foot bed to something sweat wicking. Really happy with these sandals otherwise.

I had these sandals in my cart and was contemplating buying them for weeks. I have planters fasciitis and foot pain from high arches and cannot wear all the cute flat sandals that are popular but have zero support. I finally bit the bullet and shelled out the hefty price for these and I have no regrets at all! I can wear these all day even running all over the school building I work in and standing/teaching and not have foot and arch pain. This is my second pair of these Vionic Sandals. They are terrific. Comfortable for walking miles and miles but still stylish enough to wear out and about. Great purchase...I usually wear a size 8.5 but size 8 fits great
