Make sure you have a way to drill a circle portion out of the mounting piece to attach it properly and drill bits. The install was simple enough and the quality was very nice. This mounting pieces creates a seamless appearance. The size was perfect for the base of the light fixture I ordered. I've had the last 4-5 items I wanted from Lowes appear as "Out of Stock", and they don't get them in anymore. This item is the most recent. Perhaps code has changed or something? I have at least 2 already mounted on my house for lights, and wanted more, but Lowes and Home Depot no longer stock them. Which is a shame, but I'm glad I found them here.
