Needed this to hang and exterior light on my back patio that was hung in the siding without a mounting piece like this. Make sure you have a way to drill a circle portion out of the mounting piece to attach it properly and drill bits. The install was simple enough and the quality was very nice. This mounting pieces creates a seamless appearance. The size was perfect for the base of the light fixture I ordered. I can not comment on the performance since I just installed it, but the quality seems good enough to last years! ... show more

Mounting blocks for our outside lights. We had to cut a few notches for it to fit our vinyl siding, so next time we will probably order the next size up to give it more stability. Maybe the 8 inch instead of the 4 inch next time.
