Description

ROBERTS 2057 Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) Adhesive is a clear, solvent-free, water-based, thin-spread tile adhesive that provides excellent grab and high residual tack. This superior grade tile adhesive brushes, rolls or trowels on and helps hold tiles firmly in place, even when subjected to repeated cleaning and mopping. When spread thinly as instructed, the adhesive dries correctly and turns clear, allowing chalk lines to remain visible. This adhesive is also suitable for installing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt tile over existing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt subfloors that are free from waxes, sealers and finishes.

  • Warning : Super Sticky!
Size: 1 Gallon
This stuff is next-level sticky! I used this to re-stick some old peel and stick flooring that was coming up. I was able to re-stick the old tiles, and then I used this to add some extra adhesive on the new peel and stick vinyl planks that I was installing. They have not budged at all, and I've used it to add some extra sticking power to some peel and stick faux brick on the walls in our house. We're currently re-painting and modernizing our house, and this stuff has really helped to make our DIY updates more permanent. This stuff is dangerously sticking though. After doing the floors, my hands were sticky for days. I tried using rubbing alcohol and acetone to remove it from my hands, and this stuff would not budge.. I did some laundry and made the mistake of cleaning the lint trap, and I ended up with linty fingers for two days. I then tried using some simple black vinyl gloves that I'd had in the house and they got so sticky that I was struggling to move my fingers in them. From here on, I'll just deal with the sticky fingers for a few days, cause this stuff was worth it. ... show more

  • It works but thinner than I thought it would be
Size: 1 Gallon
This stuff was thinner than I thought it would be. Pretty messy. Gotta be careful. I used dish washing soap and hot water to clean up any drops, my hands and my tools. Still some tackyness after clean up. I would say it needs some good drying time because it's so thin. Don't disturb the flooring! I would say it needs 2 days of dry time but we shall see. Otherwise, it does the job. Update 12/9 - Man this stuff is so messy. It is sticky. Washed hands repeatedly and still tacky. This time threw my tools away. Be careful with this stuff. Absolutely do not want to spill on the floor. Anything dropped can easily be stepped on and tracked around. Just gotta be real careful. ... show more

  • Extreme!
Size: 1 Gallon
This is some NEXT LEVEL STICKINESS! Perfect for wall, tile, linoleum, or vinyl (probably other stuff but I am experimenting). Use disposable sponge pain brushes. You must have PATIENCE! I read that it’s impossible to get off hands and floor and cleanup is terrible. NOT SO!!!!!! Have some Orange Glo furniture polish on hand. The PERFECT SOLVENT!!!!!! You can thank me later. ... show more

  • Great hold for vinyl
Size: 1 Gallon
Really liked this product. Our vinyl flooring has stuck so well. No movement or shifting or pockets of air. I started the install at 8 months pregnant and my husband finished it off without any problems. I will say we had a lot of spots of glue that got on the vinyl that we had to scrub off with a plastic bristle brush and some floor cleaner - luckily it came off relatively easily even after 3 weeks of it sitting. Our floors are real light so you couldn't see where we had gotten the glue unless you really focused, it probably would've been more visible on a darker floor ... show more

  • Gummy mess, doesn't ever dry
Size: 1 Gallon
I got this to use for installing tiles in a kitchen floor. It is a terrible mess to apply, which would have been OK if it worked, but it doesn't. Weeks later it hadn't dried and the tiles slip around underfoot. After completing half the kitchen floor, I pulled everything up and started over again, using thinset tile mortar. ... show more

  • Works. But takes forever to get tacky
Size: 1 Gallon
Instructions say to apply on surface and wait until clear and tacky. Well, it said 1-2 hours. It took easily 6-12 hours for it to get tacky. Luckily it still dries not sticky, but holy schmoly have some good dawn dish soap and rubbing alcohol on hand. It gets ALL OVER you. I was out and about and got the comparable from Lowe’s. Night and day. Same adhesion but dried SIGNIFICANTLY quicker. Like tacky and clear in 35-60 mins. Maybe I got a bad bucket. I am also applying to concrete so I’m okay with how it stuck because it does stick extremely well, but took forever to get tacky. Stuff I got at Lowe’s was the exact same price. Definitely worked better and easier to deal with. I’d strongly advise going with that and saving the hassle of shipping. ... show more

  • Great for lifting peel and stick tiles!
Size: 1 Quart
I am replacing the vinyl flooring in my bathroom. Due to past water damage, the floor is uneven with dips. I originally got this floor glue to level those dips off. The really bad dips did not level off perfectly and some of the peel and stick tiles we're popping up along the edges. I used some of this glue under the lifting areas and I have not had a problem since. Caution: this glue can get really messy and really sticky, so be super careful and wear gloves. A little goes a LONG way!! ... show more
