This was an upgrade to a $50 beginner stick, and the difference is amazing. The $50 stick was a great upgrade from the bar cues, but this Valhalla stick blows that away. I'd say it's great for beginners starting to learn or people trying to improve their skills. It's well-weighted and balanced. It's made of wood which is much better than the cheap graphite sticks. The stick feels amazing and you can immediately recognize the quality as soon as you put it together. It's very attractive and gets compliments every time. If you're somebody who plays regularly and have been considering getting a "good stick", I'd say this is the best one based on quality and price. You could find a cheap graphite one for $30-$60, but if you want to really make a difference in your game and hone your skill, this is definitely worth the purchase. ... show more

I shoot competitively in two separate leagues. Works well. Had to shape the tip a bit but thats common for any cue. Has held up well. Have been totally happy with it.

The stick feels really nice and sturdy, even the 18oz. The color however is not quite as Orange as advertised. Looks to have a really nice stock tip as well.

I am amazed at the quality of these valhalla cues. I plan on buying a back up to this one soon. They are super straight and seem to hold true to that overtime better than other cues I've bought in this price range.

This pool cue arrived in perfect condition, well packaged and protected. It is perfectly straight when screwed together, and the metal joint is a very high quality and very secure. The finish on the bottom colored part is truly beautiful. I bought the red color, which I thought would be very red but is in fact a very rich deep almost mahogany burgundy red. The color is richer and more beautiful than I thought it could be. And the glossy finish grips your hand very well on the bottom, while the upper part slides very easily over your fingers. The thin upper part of the cue is very smooth and slides easily in your hands and fingers. I can't imagine a better pool cue for the money. ... show more

Ive been using this cue for maybe 3 weeks now. It came nice and straight. No problems with the joint, it doesn't slip off during play, but it's not impossible to take off. No problems with the tip falling off, like some reviews say. I got the green color and I'm satisfied. The wooden part had a nice matte finish as oppose to a glossy finish (which I prefer).
