Material is soft and a tiny bit stretchy, but that doesn't matter because it's baggy. If you went down a size you might be able to get it to look more fitted, but honestly the baggy look goes hard and it's exactly what i was looking for. Only complaint is that there aren't snap buttons on the pockets and i wouldn't trust any of them to hold anything without them due to how wide the pocket openings are. Would and will buy again though For reference, I'm 28" waist and 38" hip - I bought medium and it sits comfortably baggy on me. Super cute but I have this in grey and black, both have issues with the zipper not sure why. Tight on the waist once you wear it , it loosens up.

BUY THESE! I've purchased 5 different brands of cargo pants on Amazon and none of them are what I was looking for. This fabric is soft but sturdy, feels almost like suede. Pockets are all functional. Not as high waisted as I'd like, but not low rise. Only thing I don't like is the ties on the legs are very long. I ended up pulling them out completely because I don't need them cuffed. Great fit super comfortable. I had several compliments. You can dress up and down with these pants. I got an Xtra Large because I wanted a more baggy look but I should have sized down to a Large. I’m short (5’1) so the ability to tie the pants legs is a great option.
