My 18 football was stuck on David's and I couldn't get it off of one of the dabs, so I rigged it up. Used it to lower the boat into the water. I want to use the other electric one that was working. It done the job since we could not find the part for the damaged davit.

For me, it wasn't exactly hang an use, There are some instructions, but not what I was looking for. After hanging it on a heavy duty eye bolt from my garage beam, it wouldn't crank in either direction! There were no instructions tell you what to do, or how to check it out! I got on my ladder and tried working the hoist hand chain to see why it wasn't moving and found that it was off the pulley inside the housing. Once I got it on track, it worked perfectly. The annoyance factor was not knowing and no where to find out except by email. ... show more

I just bought 2 of these model #HC1-6 that claims it is 20' lifting height but on the unit it reads "lifting height 10'". The picture in this ad is a HC1-3 and reads "lifting height 20'" but on your manual that reads 10'. What are the specs for the HC1-6? I need 20'.
