Features

  • HEAVY-DUTY STAINLESS STEEL- The fermentor and condenser keg of the whiskey distilling kit is built with food-grade stainless steel material, ensuring long years of use. It features 5.5 US Gal real capacity, able to distill 21 Liters of raw material, by heating to boiling selectively, and then cooling to condense the vapor.
  • EFFICIENT CONDENSATION TREATMENT- This Alcohol kit adopts the red copper coiled-tube with rapid thermal conductivity assures promising cooling performance, together with a large contact area with the coolant, providing a rather low temperature of distilled product. During the condensation process, an additional circulating pump facilitates the expedited water flow of the condensing agent.
  • CONVENIENT TEMPERATURE MONITOR- The whiskey making kit comes with a precise thermometer with a dual-display of Celsius and Fahrenheit on the lid, for easy monitoring of real-time alcohol temperature, and better temperature control during the distillation process.
  • DEPENDABLE WITH SECURE SEALING- Two lifting handles on the side facilitate the convenient movement. Four quick buckles, along with the silicone gasket inside the lid, facilitate the enhanced sealing. A multifunctional one-way air evacuation valve is available, and 2/3 of the water is added to it to help release air when fermenting the grain (the gas can only get out).
  • VERSATILE HEATING METHODS- This home distilling kit is brilliant for both beginners and experts. It is perfect for distilling fruit wine, water, purifying water, distilling brandy, and refining plant extract for medical purposes. The thickened fermentor bottom is suitable for all kinds of heating methods, including gas stoves, ceramic stoves, electric coil stoves, etc.

  • Made a few customizations, but good first still
Size: 8Gal Color: Silver
There were several conflicting reviews, bit the only issue I noticed was that the overflow line for the coil cooling pot was undersized, and would regularly overflow the minute you took your eyes off of it no matter how much I adjusted the inflow. To help with this I added a valve on the inflow, and bored a wider hole on the outflow which helps, but even with the slightly larger bore hole it occasionally it will not want to drain and overflows. I would recommend boring at least a 3/4"-1" outside diameter hole for the overflow which will make the outflow hole between a1/2"-3/4" inside the fitting, and less likely to not want to drain. I'm still not sure why this happens with set inflow, but it does occasionally. Stills need to be monitored throughout so this shouldn't be an issue if you are being properly attentive. ... show more

  • It is a small simple still
Size: 3Gal Color: Silver
Well, I like it. I allegedly ran larger home-made stills in the deep past (statute of limitations past by half a century), and this one is a breeze compared to them. I washed it out good, although it was visibly very clean. I got the three gallon model, with no thumper because in my old age this one will be used to make essential oils and hydrosols. I did a vinegar run, and allegedly ran a bottle of cheap vodka dispersed in a gallon of water through it, just to see if I still knew how, and to kill any residual thermophile microbes in the lower part of the condenser. In all cases it ran like a champ. The thermometer read steady 205 for water, but I do live at higher altitude. It didn't leak, the fittings all fit, the little submersible pump ran fine, although I will probably just run creek water through it. Ice and buckets are just too much trouble. There were no dents or dings. Now all I need is a screen rack for the plant material, a separating funnel, and for the sweetbuds to bloom. My wife likes all those sweet-smelling things, and I get to run a still without going to jail. Win-win for an old southern Appalachian retiree like me. I give it five stars on simplicity, compactness, price, and ease of use. Great for someone who just piddles around like me. ... show more

  • Not exactly as pictured in Amazon
Size: 3Gal Color: Silver
I received my steel today I am completely happy with everything except the thermometer it showed a different one with more accurate readings in the description and it's the same thermometer that I got in my 3 gallon steel other than that so far I like everything about it

  • Decent starter distiller
Size: 9 Gal/30L Color: Silver
Works as it should except for the lights, chumpy accessories. The kit is Chinese, the other stuff was Ukrainian lol

  • Accessories are pathetic!!
Size: 13.2Gal Color: Silver
The thermometer and the condenser are each a nice theory and a legal alibi; but, in both cases, they are considerably LESS than "pathetic". Also, to get GOOOOOOD TEMPERATURE CONTROL, the still itself NEEEEEEEDS a SERIOUS HEAT SINK under it simply because most kitchen stoves and home cooking hotplates do NOT have the ability to REGULATE the input BTUs as carefully as what the input BTUs NEEEEEEEED to be regulated IF the HIGHEST POSSIBLE QUALITY PRODUCT is to be obtained. CAN it be used to make WHITE GAS (Coleman Fuel) out of regular and ethanol free gasoline?? PROBABLY - if the operator is willing to spend some extra bucks buying the right laboratory monitoring and product testing equipment; but NOT coming out of the box as purchased - with some mods by an operator who KNOWS what he's doing!! CAN it be used to make STEAM DISTILLED WATER suited for use in lead-acid batteries, coffee makers, and clothing irons?? PROBABLY - if the operator is willing to spend some extra bucks buying the right laboratory monitoring and product testing equipment; but NOT coming out of the box as purchased. CAN it be used to make 200 proof ethanol alcohol?? Again, PROBABLY - if the operator is willing to spend some extra bucks buying the right laboratory monitoring and product testing equipment; but NOT coming out of the box as purchased. Ahhhhh!!!; but the still itself, the lid, and the seal DO SEEM TO BE a VERY RESPECTABLE (5 STAR) START!!! Because the accessories and tge operating instructions are sooo-oh-oh-oh PATHETIC, I'd hafta give it an OVERALL RATING of about TWO Stars!! Be that as it may b e, I'm KEEPING it BECAUSE the POT is of a VERY RESPECTABLE QUALITY - and it's NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE (at ANY price) to find a "still" of this particular size - which, for MY purposes is the PERFECT size!! ... show more

  • Perfect for a Beginner Distiller
Size: 8Gal Color: Silver
Great setup for a beginner just starting out and doesn't have much knowledge on thumper kegs. Easy to set up and run. Most people will say the condenser is too small and overflows but they just don't know how to properly use it. Just put the setting on the submersible pump to low and open the outlet valve fully and the inlet a little less than fully open and it should never overflow at all. It takes a bit of tinkering to figure out the sweet spot of the valves. Instruction booklet also has some pretty good recipes in it as well. Not too good of detail in some pictures beings they are kind of hard to see due to the poor image quality but has detailed instructions written step by step. But for the price it is you can't go wrong with it. Perfect gift for a knew hobbyist starting out the art of distilling. ... show more
