My foot is probably a size 8 in length but I have a wide foot. So, normally, I order an 8-1/2 to make up for the width. Didn't need to with these sandals. My feet didn't feel squished one bit. I loved the fit, style, and the price. I wanted something versatile that I could wear with a casual look or a more dressy look and be able to walk around the city comfortably. These accomplished all of the above. One thing i will point out, is that if you have thicker ankles, the strap IS NOT elastic or stretchable in any way. Wore these shoes for hours and they were very comfortable and I didn’t get any blisters. Where your sole rests is pretty slippery so when my foot gets wet I slip a little bit but overall these are good sandals for their price.
