I have a large bedroom that accommodates this table for my sofa. I use the lift top for using my computer. I question how long this part will work as it doesn't seem to be anchored as well as should be because of the way it is designed. But thus far it is working. As for the other side of the desk it easily extends both ways and I love it. I wish the table tops were actually different sizes. I'd like to see the smaller part the size of the lift top and the lift top working as the current smaller top. I am using this table daily and I am happy I purchased this one. ... show more

Exactly what you'd expect- cheaply made but it does the trick. Instructions with spelling errors that aren't clear, but it's easy to figure out. Screws and holes that don't exactly line up, but the wood is cheap enough that you can get around it anyway. Even the stickers to cover up the screws don't match the wood color. Couldn't find anything better with the same size and functionality, so I don't regret the purchase, but I certainly won't be upset when it's time to replace it. ... show more

This coffee table is decent. The end product looks pretty good; nothing too fancy, but not the cheapest looking. The lift top lifts pretty easily thanks to the gas mechanisms. Even nicer, there's some resistance pushing it back down, so it doesn't slam shut on your fingers when you go to put it back down. The slide top feels kind of cheap freely sliding both ways. It would be nice if there was some sort of "resting" position it could kind of click into so that it was easy to have it sitting to match the other side when the lift top was down. I also am very disappointed that the stickers they give you to cover the screw holes aren't even the same color as the surface. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the finished product. Putting it together, however, wasn't that great. I will say that all the holes and cutouts lined up correctly, which was good, but the instructions were quite ambiguous at times. The key things I'd stress to anyone who buys this are: (1) When putting the "wall" boards together, make sure the screw holes line up closer to the outside than the inside of the table. (2) Make sure you actually pay attention when attaching the 3 short wall pieces, as order very specifically matters. Obviously, the piece with a slit on each side goes in the middle, but it's important that the two boards with 6 screw holes each face each other in the larger section. I screwed this up the first time and had to disassemble most of the table to fix it. (3) pay close attention to which direction you should install the lift top mechanism. The directions aren't clear, but you can use the picture to see which side is the shorter side and work from there. Other than those few things, the table itself was fairly intuitive to put together, so even with some unclear instructions it wasn't that bad. This table is pretty reasonably priced compared to other furniture like it, so despite its shortcomings, I am not upset that I got it. ... show more

The Lift Top Coffee Table by VEELOK, is a super useful design that works well and provides a sturdy table, just make sure you understand the level of quality that’s coming. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and a few things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This is a cheaper, bargain style piece of furniture, that’s becoming so typical lately. If you put it together correct, it makes for a solid and decent quality table. I’d put the overall quality in the middle of the quality scale for coffee tables and guess it should a while, However, I won’t be surprised when it starts to peel or get loose in the connections, it also scratches easily. II. Assemble – Its harder than needed, because of bad instructions that should be written by a professional. The holes don’t line up very well, but are workable without a drill, because of the lack of solid wood. It doesn’t take real long, but make sure you do it right the first time, because this type of furniture doesn’t like to be reassembled much. III. Performance – The lift top is a great idea that works well. I love to have a place to store things that’s hidden away. It makes for a sturdy table that’s very functional and nice to use. The size is great and a little taller than others I have. The top opens fairly easily and the surface is simple to clean. Overall, this is a decent way to get a bargain coffee table that’s very functional and fun to use. As long as you’re ok with the matching bargain quality, you should be very happy with this one as your choice, after all it still offers a great value. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.
