I have a pretty large family and needed a waffle maker that would make a good amount in a shorter time. After looking around, I came across this one and decided to order it. Alot of the reviews were saying that it makes very small waflles but no picture(s) to really show what they meant. So I added one. They are pretty small sized but for kids I think the size is great! They are smaller than a deck of cards , more the the upper half of a cooking tongs, or a orange. They are not a thick as Belgian waffles but not at think as regular waffles, right in the middle. The pockets will definitely hold a good amount of syrup (if you like sweets), butter or whatever you use Figuring out the temp and timer can be tricky but what I find works for me is plugging it in when I am preparing the batter so it is ready, setting it at 190c, when the heat light goes out that means it hit that temp, pour the batter on the plates and setting the the timer to 4. They come out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. I haven't tried with added fruits or chocolate chips but i think it should be okay with smaller chips or smaller cuts of fruit. ... show more

The waffles are as another user described, "the size of a deck of cards." It is great for a large family. The waffles came out with a noticeable outer crisp. I love that you can set the actual temperature and not just a 1,2,3,4 or 5 setting. They also all cooked evenly. You wipe it down to clean it. I wish the plates came off to go into the dishwasher. However, most of the other waffle makers that do this don't last as long and it ends up deteriorating the nonstick finish. I have three small children, and we often cook bulk batches and freeze. It cut our morning cooking time in half which meant more time to actually enjoy the waffles instead of having one person cooking until noon to finish up the bulk batch. The picture complementing the description shows full sized square waffles, when this clearly makes 10 tiny rectangular waffles. My husband and I have had so much fun with this waffle Iron. It started out with the cookbook Buns and Burgers. There was a recipe we wanted to try that was a hamburger between two waffles. This waffle iron was the perfect size for the burger. We got it and they were delicious. We now eat hamburgers with waffles as the bun exclusively since they have such a great texture. Then I made a tuna sandwich. Awesome. Then egg, peanut butter and jelly, and my favorite, deli honey ham with melted cheese.…amazing. Waffles are our sandwich bread now. I make 20-30 at a time and freeze them. Four waffles cook up in a minute or so. So fast. I made sandwiches for my beekeeper, trainer, and an employee and they all ended up getting one. All of them have kids and they are enjoying it in other different ways. This wild adventure all started during covid-19. I am still discovering the endless possibilities. Desserts next! I saw a recipe for s’mores in the book Will it Waffle. If this item becomes unavailable don't despair they will replenish….I’ve seen it happen twice. ... show more

Waffles are smaller than anticipated but I guess I should have read the other reviews before purchasing. But looks good quality, so we will keep it. But the instructions say there is a power button and we don’t see it. A bit of a pain to have to reach down and unplug and plug in every time we cook.

Cooks a huge waffle in 2 minutes, if you flip it on to warm up before you start preparing your batter it is ready about the same time. I always forget to start the built in timer but it’s nice to have when you actually use it. We replaced a cheap single round waffle maker that had fallen off the counter and had no handles to open it and was wobbly when it was opened that only cooked one at a time. So the new one is quite an improvement. Cooks the waffles with a crisp outter without burning it. I set my temp to 190°c for regular waffles. The stainless steel tray is also easy to remove and rinse in the sink. ... show more
