  • BUILT-IN LOCK SYSTEM uses precision engineered safe technology and anti-impact latch design. LifePod 2.0 can be unlocked using the touch sensitive LED backlit keypad or backup manual keys. To lock LifePod simply press and hold the lock pad to engage the internal locking mechanism. An optional anti-picking feature can be enabled to prevent picking of the front keyway.
  • DESIGNED TO PERFORM. Advanced non-metal polymer construction is engineered to be LIGHTWEIGHT with SUPERIOR STRENGTH and DROP TESTED to be the ultimate rugged lockbox. Side compression latches and inner rubber gasket seal off the interior from environmental factors. LifePod is weather resistant, airtight, dust proof, floats, and is TSA complaint.
  • Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LIFEPODS CAN ALSO BE USED WITHOUT A BATTERY and still function as a water resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery.

Was very skeptical on ordering because of the price, but looked at many others (most were similarly priced) but I just loved the looks and design of the lifepod series portable safes more. Honestly I wanted the original lifepod but was worried about size…figured if I spent the money I’d be better off with the 2.0 because it’s bigger and maybe id get more use from it with the extra space, BUT this thing is still pretty small inside. Other than that I love it! Once I got it in my hands it looks even better in person, works flawlessly, and seems like the quality is there, GREAT QUALITY and looks FANTASTIC! The media could not be loaded. Definitely, not a safe, but thats why they don't call it a safe. It is a sturdy lock box you can cable into your car and under your seat. Or you can cable it into your boat. It does seem pretty water resistant though i didn't test it. I like the storage unit in the top lid fo all the little items like SD cards, cash and credit cards. Great for a quick grab and go box to take as the one item that will have your important docs and IDs. ... show more

I’ve had this box since March and unfortunately my car got broken into yesterday. My pistol was in the car in this box with the tether attached to the car. The 5 individuals that broke into the car attempted to cut the cable, pulled the box against the cable, and also attempted to open the box. Much to their dismay they couldn’t get the box to open or the cable released so the gun was still in my car. Although the individuals were able to pry open the door to my car they still were unable to get into the box. Contacted the company wanting to get a new cable because in the cutting they cut off parts of the plastic coating and the company is sending me another box just to make sure my current one wasn’t compromised. So Product showed up with issues, One thing that stand outs was the product was not wrapped and box was not sealed. Turns out it was Amazon return. this was Amazon fault - Vaultek requires all Amazon returns to be sent back to them and not Amazon for restocking. (Which was not listed as a return.) issues with the locking setup. called Vaultek and they warrantee and sent out a new one from their store! Product showed up 3 days and work flawlessly - Great support by supplier - and thanks for the speed turn around. I leaving for hunt in 4 days and needed this vault for securing my gun and others.     • Seems like a good product for travel and easy access.
It works well for the few things I will have in this lifepod. For the few times I’ve entered code and relocked it seems like it will be an easy enter and lock safe.
