I purchased this module with my N4 Dashcam. It works exactly as expected. It stamps the video with current GPS coordinates every step of the drive as well as the current speed. It is very simple to use. The dashcam slides right on as it does the normal mount. For the $21 and change that it costs, it is certainly a reasonably priced accessory. If you ever need it for legal purposes it will be nice to have the extra information it provides as to location and it contains the proof of your speed at the time of any accident. It integrates perfectly with the Vantrue player, allowing it to show all the above information clearly for an entire drive. As with all suction cup windshield mounts, I would recommend removing it in extremely hot weather, but that is normal for this type of mount. In my opinion this module is not only helpful, but necessary to complete the purpose that a dashcam is designed to fill. For me it gets a full 5 stars. ... show more

This is the most essential item to add GPS in order to track driving miles per hour (MPH) for the rideshare and delivery driver, as added protection in case of dispute whose fault (me or the other driver) at the site of accident or illegal attack (road rage). However, I deducted one star because of suction issue that is sometimes unstable by falling off that frustrate me while driving. During wintertime, suction might not stick and it takes effort to clean the suction by wiping suction clean then use your mouth breath to warm suction then wipe windshield spot and place it after a few seconds. Extremely cold windshield is ill-fitting for suction, in extreme case it may have to be duct taped to hold stable. ... show more

    • Great addition to my N4 dash cam
The N4 dash cam was already top quality to have. Now, with the GPS receiver I amm able to now the speed I was traveling during my video. The speed is displayed on all three camera angle videos of my recordings. This is a must have with your dash cam.

    • NO SUCTION, hard to reach company.
Purchased may of this year (2024). And it has consistently fallen since the first month we had it. It is now September, and we made sure to take ALL precautions against the heat and sunlight, but regardless it continues to fall. Renders something meant for SAFETY on the roads unusable! Its embarrassing when you buy this for someone else and speak highly about a brand only for this to keep happening. Sending a ticket on vantrue’s support page never goes through, their website in general is horrendous and looks like it was made by a low paid intern. Fix your products. ... show more
