So I’ve had this case on my AirPods for years now, and I’ve dropped them probably a couple hundred times at least. I’ve long since lost the karabener that came with it, but the adhesive still hold it in place really well and it works perfectly to keep them from breaking from the fall, and even on the rare occasions the latch pops off and it opens, that still means the case or AirPods didn’t just hit the tile floor without protection, and the clip pops right back on. Anyways, I usually forget it’s even there, but today as I got into my car I dropped them. Couldn’t find them till the car next to me drove off and I realized they’d just been RUN OVER BY A CAR. The case is a bit scratched but it did exactly what it was made for, and the AirPods themselves and the charging case are all completely fine. I figured that had earned a good review. ... show more

I was a wee bit skeptical given some of the reviews, but I’ve learned to take many of the negative ones with a grain of salt if they’re not the bulk of what exists. Glad I did with this! It’s GREAT! Fits perfectly, locks tight, and looks nice! Not as “blue” as I thought (it’s very dark — almost black), but at the end of the day, it’s protecting my AirPod Pros and that’s what matters. The carabiner (hook/loop) feels a bit flimsy, as does the key chain style attachment, but I’m not using it anyways. It’s in my pocket if not on my desk or elsewhere…so that doesn’t matter to me. That’s my only downside to the item. All else? 100% awesome! ... show more

Love this case. Buy it now. don't waster your time with the flimsy silicone cases. The silicone case i had wouldn't stay on, ended up screwing up the apple case by using hot glue to get silicone case to stay on. Once i got the case to stay on i was content keeping it for protection. One day at a gas station the case came out of my pocket as i was pulling my keys out because of the stickiness of the silicone and they landed on the ground, lid flew open and air buds flew out and ended up losing one of them. This case stays on and I love the lid lock so I will never have to worry about headphones flying out when i inevitably drop it. No worries at all with this case. Great texture and feel in hand of the case, feels nice and solid and not too bulky. Was also surprised that they sent a case for the case! what!? at first i thought they screwed up but no it's a case for the case. Will probably never use it but whatever. Above and beyond my expectations for an AirPods pro case! can't believe the price either. ... show more

This review is long overdue, so let's get into it: first of all the item was as described and arrived on time and neatly packaged. I bought the dark blue one which looks pretty cool. It's pretty solid and sturdy and worth the money. I've dropped my airpods / case a few times already and it has done its job. It has a locking button and has prevented my airpods from flying out when I have dropped them. I'm able to wirelessly charge my AirPods. Additionally, it has a button to access the reset button. It arrived with a little carabiner and black case to carry. There are two small things that the manufacturer can either work on or not: 1. I wish the case cover had a plug or something to protect water and debris from going in the charging port. 2. The key chain part was good until it broke, however, it didn't effect the rest unit/case. In conclusion, I would recommend this case cover and am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Worth the switch from the flimsy silicone cases

I’ve gone through a number of the soft silicone cases for my AirPods and was stubbornly holding out on them because I liked the look and feel a lot better. But of course my AirPods always fell out of the case, and any double sided tape I used never stuck to the silicone (I wasn’t ever hopeful with that since silicone is notorious for being nonstick, ie silicone baking mats). But when I was getting on the train and the AirPods charging case almost dropped onto the tracks I knew I had to switch. (One of the AirPods was literally millimeters from the edge of the track, I almost lost my mind.) I wasn’t particularly excited about this case because I don’t like the “military” style look or heavy hard cases, but figured I’d have to make a compromise or else risk dropping my AirPods onto the train tracks for sure next time. The case is a little heavier than the silicone cases but it also gives it a secure feeling. The case fits snuggly on the AirPods and doesn’t budge easily. Compared to how easily I slid the AirPods out of the silicone cover to transfer them I feel confident they won’t accidentally fly out of this one. There’s adhesive inside the top portion of the case but that part also fits snuggly as well. I was worried about a two piece case cause I thought the top would always fly off, but I don’t feel worried about this one. The locking part I had mixed feelings about upon purchase. A con about silicone cases is, in my experience, the top always opens up and risks the AirPods themselves falling out. So I thought the lock was a good concept, although I was worried it would be a burdensome extra step. I think it will be a little superficially annoying, but the lock is secure yet not hard to open. I have long nails so undoing the lock can be hard, but such is life with long nails (what isn’t hard to do?). You don’t actually need to press the button too hard or deep to get it to open though, and it can be done with the side of the finger tip or your knuckle if you have to. As much as I’m not super thrilled about the look (which I knew going in, and the aesthetic is maybe not meant for my demographic), I feel a lot less anxiety about losing my expensive earbuds. I say the silicone case fans should make the switch, it’s worth the compromise for the security. The solid black one isn’t THAT terrible to look at! Haha. It’s also matte so if you need to beautify it I bet you can add little stickers. Plus the price is great for what you’re getting! Go for it.
