I absolutely love this sweater!! The fabric is thick, good quality, soft, not itchy, and has a beautiful sheen and lovely drape. It's warm. The pattern and stitching is gorgeous - front AND BACK. I have extremely long arms, but these sleeves are almost long enough for me, which is hard to find. Excellent. I got it in the deep, rich purple, and the color is vivid and gorgeous. I have only washed it once so far, laid flat to dry; it held up very well. We'll see how it does down the line. I want to order more of the gorgeous colors!! I bought this for the holidays. I love how soft and thick it is. However, it's just a plain black. It doesn't have the metallic look the photo gives it. I did not have to worry about layering anything under it. You can see through it anywhere. It's tightly knitted together. I haven't had any shrinkage but I wash it in cold and hang it to try. It looks great with jeans or dress pants, and was way fun with a pair of red leather pants I bought. It doesn't look as long on me as it does in the picture but my shape is a little more curvy than the model, so maybe that's why? Don't expect it to be super long though. ... show more

I ordered the Hot Pink sweater in Medium as recommended by Amazon. By the v28 size chart I would be a Large. For reference, I am 5'8", 38-30-38 and short-waisted with long fairly thin limbs. The fit was really good- relaxed, but still fitted- if that makes sense. It comes down over the top of my hips, doing a pretty fair job of skimming over belt loops and the button-fly on my jeans. The sweater feels heavy and good quality. i love that the cable knit pattern is on both sides. I hate when only the front has pattern and the back is plain! The color on my screen doesn't do the richness of the actual sweater justice. Hot Pink? No- more than that. More like a fully-saturated magenta side of Shocking Pink meets Screaming Fuschia. The gloss of the yarn exaggerates this effect. It almost glows! It is absolutely gorgeous, though. The pictures I posted still aren't quite how the color is in person, but a little bit closer, at least. Unfortunately, at my age (over 60) I'm simply not "brave" enough to wear such an eye-catching color. 40 years ago I would have worn it everywhere- with black jeans and Hot Pink boots, of course! I will be returning it for the Pink2 instead- still bright and cheerful, but won't make me look silly at my age. ... show more

The sweater cable pattern is very nice and the fabric is quite soft. It is a mid-weight sweater, not thin but not super heavy. It looks great with dress pants or jeans. I ordered the white and the material is thick enough that your undergarments are not visible. The reason for the four stars is that, as some other reviewers, mine came with a small hole in the seam of one arm. I was able to sew it closed but should not have to do that for a new sweater. I really do like the sweater and also ordered one in purple which came in good condition. Just be aware there is some size variation that can occur. I ordered the white in a small. It fit really well but because the sweater is slim my "love handles" showed a little. I was contemplating getting the purple in a medium but ordered it in small as well. The small purple is a little bigger in the shoulders and body and is not quite as slim as the white. I'm glad I did not order the size up. ... show more

I wore this to our family Christmas gathering. It’s a good fit with some stretch allowance. It’s not the soft, fluffy woven material, but it has a slight sheen to it and isn’t scratchy or itchy. It’s great to dress up a regular pair of pants and looks classy. It’s meant to be form fitting (not super tight), so order a size up if you want a looser look.
