I picked this up as an affordable straight razor for shaping up my beard, and overall, it’s a solid choice for the price. The razor itself has a nice weight to it, and the black finish gives it a sleek look. The fact that it comes with 100 Derby blades is a huge plusdefinitely a good deal considering you won’t need to buy refills for a long time. A couple of things to keep in mind: The blade holder mechanism works, but you have to make sure it's properly secured to avoid any shifting while shaving. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to double-check before using it. Also, the handle is comfortable, but the screw that holds the two parts together can feel a little loose over time, you might need to tighten it occasionally. For someone new to straight razors, there’s a slight learning curve, but once you get used to the angle and pressure, it does the job well. Just take your time, and make sure to stretch your skin properly to avoid any nicks. For the price, this is a great value, especially with the extra blades. It’s not a high-end razor, but if you want something affordable and functional, it’s a solid pick.
