The cable would not fit all the way in and I was not willing to break the port on my camera pushing it on harder than I should. I have the OEM cable and it fits perfectly. No forcing it it. This would let the camera appear in Aperture, LR or photos and then disappear. That is since it would fit properly. ... show more

The product pictures show 2 different cables. Are there possibly 2 different models? Not Sure! I received the thinner cable, where the ferrite core appears thinner and there is no cable support on the mini camera connector as the computer USB connector (see photo). There is a fair amount of connector sag if you don't support the cable where the ferrite drags the cable downard toward the ground (see other photo). I think the other cable pictured is a better model as it appears thicker and the connectors are supported at both ends. Having the ferrite a bit further would reduce connector sag. Nevertheless the cable is fully 6' which is longer that most others. For me longer is better. My main use is tethering my Nikon D750 to LightRoom software. Transfer speed of both NEF raw and medium JPG files is very fast since Nikon's write directly to the computer skipping the camera SD cards. To overcome the mini connector issue, I give a couple of inches of slack by the connector and tape the cable to the base of the ball head on my tripod. The slack in the cable provides an arc reducing the overall tension the cable. Without doing so, I risk breaking the connector within my camera. ... show more
