  • Works Perfectly
Size: USB A
I plugged my old SSD SATA into it after i upgraded and i know use it as the main Harddrive on my Raspberry PI and it screams with speed. So what i can say it did exactly what i needed it too and required nothing of me i just plugged it in and formatted and it works zero driver issues. **Update** i just plugged 2 samsung ssd 870 Evo in them and using them on my raspberrypi and its pulling insane speed honestly a great product. Linux HDparm test below both plugged into the same 16port usb hub i was extremely surprised at the results sudo hdparm -Ttv /dev/sdb ; sudo hdparm -Ttv /dev/sdd /dev/sdb: multcount = 1 (on) readonly = 0 (off) readahead = 256 (on) geometry = 121601/255/63, sectors = 1953525168, start = 0 Timing cached reads: 1418 MB in 2.00 seconds = 709.78 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 818 MB in 3.01 seconds = 272.01 MB/sec /dev/sdd: multcount = 1 (on) readonly = 0 (off) readahead = 256 (on) geometry = 121601/255/63, sectors = 1953525168, start = 0 Timing cached reads: 1612 MB in 2.00 seconds = 806.71 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 884 MB in 3.00 seconds = 294.48 MB/sec ... show more

  • Allowed me to clone an internal hard drive to my new SSD Drive
Size: USB A
I used this with a Samsung 500gb SSD attached to the USB 3.0 port on my laptop. I could have replaced the internal hard drive with the SSD and then reinstalled Windows using a thumb drive with the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft. But then I would have had to configure the new Windows install and reinstall my old apps. Instead, using the Samsung Data Migration software for SSD, I was able to clone the hard drive to the SSD dangling off the laptop. To my pleasant surprise, I then swapped the HD for the SSD internally and it worked perfectly, albeit much faster! ... show more

  • Saved our photos
Size: USB A
My spouse's computer died. No idea why and no amount of troubleshooting would bring it back. So, in a last ditch attempt to save thousands of photos, i purchased this. It worked flawlessly, allowed me to access the entire picture files and copy every last photo and video to another computer and then to a USB stick. Cannot say enough about this product and the low price makes this a no-brainer! ... show more

  • Works for SK Hynix 2.5 SSD
Size: USB A
I found that not all cables, or software, are the same. I was having trouble cloning my new SK Hynix 2.5 SSD on my Windows 10 laptop. The problem was that I was using a cable (starts with a "S" and ends with a "brent"), Sata to USB cable that insisted on labeling my new SK Hynix SSD as a "S" "brent" drive. A little self promotion isn't the end of the world. But...the cloning software from SKH is a stickler. It wants to automatically find the new SKH SSD before it initiates the process. So it was unable find the SK Hynix SSD and thus would just error and not allow me to proceed. I found this SKL Tech Sata to USB cable and voila, problem solved. The SKH software worked without any problems and all is well now. I can say that for the money I spent, this is a great cable and works flawlessly. Two thumbs up. ... show more

  • Don't waste your time or money this thing is junk
Size: USB A
This is a complete and total non-working piece of junk! I have tried this on four different hard drives and it just will not read the information! I'm no stranger to devices like this but straight out-of-the-box this device does nothing but turn on a red and a blue light and Spins up the hard drive that's as far as this goes it flat-out does not work!! ... show more

  • It was an easy way to see some old drives.
Size: USB A
I updated my wife’s laptop with a new HD and had one I pulled for an older one so I was looking for an inexpensive way to access them and this was the answer. I knew I would miss some things my wife wanted off her old HD and I didn’t want to cone it because it really needed a lot more cleaning than I wanted to spend days to accomplish. A new HD with a clean Ubuntu install was perfect and now I can pull fils and use those old drives as storage so the 5-bucks I paid for this was less than one flash drive so I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Ease of Use!
Size: USB A
My church had purchased a cheap HP laptop from Costco. It came with a 1TB hard drive, therefore the speed wasn't up to our standard. So we bought an internal 2.5 SSD, and needed to migrate all the files/data from the 1TB HDD to the SSD. By utilizing Samsung's Migration Software (FREE), I guess depending on how many files you have on your desktop/notebook, the time of migration will vary. But ours is strictly used for video streaming and editing, therefore in about 30 mins, this adapter cable did the trick and we were on to installing the SSD and using the laptop again! All of our files were still there, worked the same, but FASTER. Glad to have found this, and purchased it at a great price! I'm sure I'll need this in the future... But for others, it might be a one time use. ... show more

  • Quality SATA cable
Size: USB A
Pleasantly surprised that it came in temperature protective zip bag. If you look closely it has grip on top (shown) and bottom for when you plug in/out with the SATA head. Attention to details like is is what really distinguishes itself from the competition. I needed to grab data off from 2 old desktops from 10+ yrs ago, and couldn't be bothered with booting them up via their HDD snail drives. Its 2021, and USB 3.0 is the new meta. Do yourself a favor and grab this for all your drives' data transfers. Couldn't be more happier with this purchase. Solid 10/10. ... show more
