It’s actually quite remarkable how these look AND feel like actual rocks glasses. The acrylic is super clear unlike some other brands that have a hint of hue. Once iced up and loaded most people don’t notice the difference. I got them for pool side. Always great to throw them on the ground when you’re playing mad to see people’s reactions. I was in the need for new acrylic (plastic type) cups since my older ones were getting scratched. I initially purchased a set from the big warehouse club store and they have served me well. However, over time they got "foggy" or scratched up from normal use. The main reason I use acrylic cups: 1. We don't use glass cups outside of the kitchen/dining room. 2. Our kids use these style cups for the bathroom when they brush their teeth. 3. Sometimes they want water late at night...if we drop these cups it's an easier clean up vs a glass cup. 4. We can use these in our backyard/pool area...again, safer than using glass. I decided to purchase from US Acrylic, because these cups were BPA free and the simple design was what I was looking for...I was very satisfied when I received my set, but as things can happen..one cup was cracked! Fortunate for me, US Acrylic contacted me and asked if everything was okay. I informed a customer representative that one item was broken. I sen them a photo to show proof, but before I could send the photo they already sent me a replacement! It is very hard to find great customer service, but if you are looking for a company that stands behind their product...don't hesitate from buying from this company! P.S. Don't expect them to last forever or stay clear...if they go in the dishwasher or are dropped from time to time, they will get scratched! My old set from a different company lasted around two years before I got fed up with the scratches (they were still usable btw). The trade off here is the safety of these cups not breaking like regular glass! We don't wear our shoes in our home, so minimizing broken glass is important! ... show more

We wanted good quality, attractive, acrylic drink ware at our beach house for guests to use poolside, on the deck, and on the dinner table. Guests started using the acrylic drink ware in May. By the beginning of August the drink ware looked cloudy, scratched, dirty (that dirty look just won't go away no matter how many times it's washed, dried, buffed)... It's cheap-looking and embarrassing! We spent a fortune on equipping the beach house for 12 people with extra large glasses, large, medium, and juice-size glasses, wine glasses, etc. The glass drinkware we had looked great, but we were trying to address a safety factor with regard to the pool and decks, so we opted for a "crystal-look" acrylic. It's too late to send everything back, however, we've decided we, and our guests, deserve better. This embarrassing, cheap-looking, expensive disaster is going to be cleared out and we'll restock with nice glass ware as we had for 18 years. I really wanted to like these glasses. They're a good size, kid friendly and look pretty classy - in fact they are indistinguishable from regular classes until you pick them up and realize that they are plastic. However, after about 6-9 months of usage their claims of "dishwasher safe" seem incorrect. The glasses are completely tarnishes with white rings around the lip of the glass (as if someone had left a milk stain with their lips) and cracking on the bottom. I wash them on the top shelf of the dishwasher on regular wash and I've never encountered issues with other glass or plastic items, so am confident that the issue is with the glass and not the maintenance thereof. It's a shame - these were almost great but cannot recommend given their deterioration over time. ... show more
