As you’d expect from reclaimed barn wood, every piece is steeped in history. Every nail hole, saw cut, and distress mark helps tell the wood’s story and give it character you can’t find in shelves made from cheap hardware store wood. Each shelf is stained by one of our local Amish partners to bring out the rich grain of the reclaimed wood. Each shelf is then lightly sanded to keep with the distressed look and feel of the reclaimed wood. We’ve worked with our Amish partners to make sure these shelves are extremely durable. The wood is reclaimed from Lancaster County barn rafters and has all of the character that you would expect from reclaimed barn wood. Thick and sturdy, these shelves feature minimalistic raw metal brackets providing a neat floating look. Urban Legacy 9” Shelves Wide plank wood salvaged from barns throughout Lancaster County, PA is used to make these sturdy shelves. Local Amish craftsmen skillfully rework floor boards from the barns to create these solid poplar pieces. With 9" of depth, these shelves are suitable for storing toiletries and towels or fruits and medium-sized dishes.
