Description

Color:Coffee Bean | Size:36"x 4.5"x 2" Don't fall for "reclaimed look" shelves that are artificially distressed and poorly stained pine from the hardware store! Urban Legacy partners with local Amish artisans to create authentic reclaimed hardwood shelves made from locally sourced barn wood rafters. We take a great deal of pride in the authenticity of our shelves and their unique history. This set of two (2) floating shelves are made from genuine reclaimed barn wood and will be the perfect accent on your wall. Their character is all natural from decades as rafters in chicken barns throughout Lancaster County, PA. As these are 100% genuine reclaimed barn wood shelves, you may notice minimal variations in the shade. We do not stain the ends of the "natural" shelves. All saw, nail and other distressed markings are naturally occurring and may vary piece to piece. There are two (2) 1/8" notches out of the bottom of the back where the brackets attach. This allows the shelves to sit flush against the wall. The notches are not visible when the shelves are hung. All mounting hardware is included. Mounting into studs is recommended, but not required. Bracket locations are routed out so that the outsides of the brackets will line up with 16" studs if preferred.

Very disappointed. The shelves arrived with stain on the top and bottom but no stain on the sides. If the “boards” looked nice, I would’ve just stained the sides myself and kept them. However, they looked like someone just went to the local lumber yard, cut a new board to size, half stained the two pieces, and then stuck them in the mail. For the price charged for them that was unacceptable. When I contacted the company for refund, I was told $6 would be deducted from my refund to cover return shipping. As it turns out, I paid $89.99 for the shelves and was refunded $65. That’s unreasonable! ... show more

Item was not the same color as pictured. Also, these shelves are not straight. I would not have been able to place items on them without the items tipping over. Returned shelves after only taking one out of the box and noticing the poor quality and the company charged me $25 to return. Will never buy from again. If I could record “zero” for this product, I would. I ordered two boards- they did arrive well packed- but what was inside I would basically classify as waste from a modern construction site, rather than weathered wood. It had the smell and appearance of having been artificially “smoked,” giving it a very very slight toasted appearance. I was honestly not only disappointed, but felt very strongly that I had been the victim of “bait and switch,” as what I recurved bore no resemblance to the beautifully aged and weathered wood pictured in the ad carried on Amazon. Super beautiful. Easy to install but should ONLY be used on studs. Very heavy & not sturdy on dry wall. Check your walls before purchasing!

POOR QUALITY. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. CUPPED UNMOUNTABLE. They look good in the picture but not in real life. End grain looked like new wood with wide growth rings not old growth barn wood. . I complained about the fact that they were unmountable due to poor workmanship.. Kristi responded that she could send me a washer if I could not get one. and would not send a replacement. Even though I am an experienced woodworker and can fix them they still do not look good. Entire waste of money. ... show more

I have purchased two 36x7x2 inch shelves in natural. I burned the shelves (Shou Sugi Ban) and stained them slightly with a gray stain to mach our wood floor and shelves in my laundry room. So the color you see is not the natural color the shelves come in. The hardware is very simple but easy to install. I don't know how much weight these shelves can take with the hardware included, but I assume that depends a lot whether you can install them attached to studs or not. My wife is very happy with her shelves so I am happy :) Happy wife, happy life... LOL ... show more

Wanted these shelves for a while! Couldn't find a good price on these until I found these ones. They are rustic and actually have nails in them! Like the second picture. I think it adds to the rustiness 😂 I wanted them a little darker so may still stain them.
